Re: new Flux Pavillion

I just listened to Biome - Swirls. I find it repetitive and boring. Then I listened to the Flux Pavillion song, and liked it a lot better. What is watered down about it? What is unintellectual about it? Pretty sure that the Biome track is more watered down as it's the same shit over and over again t...

Re: I need tips on mixing/mastering my track better!

Yeah, the copyright issue frustrates me especially since I've heard many remixes/mashups on SoundCloud that have copyrighted vocals (for example, AFSheen's remix of Katy Perry's E.T. song.) I don't understand how those are legal and allowed to be on SoundCloud but my remix isn't. I guess I'm just be...

I tried but Soundcloud had some copyright issue with the vocals. So you'll just have to bear with me, sorry man. :)

I need tips on mixing/mastering my track better!

I've made a remix, I need help to mix & master it so that it sounds cleaner, less cluttered, more sexy, and LOUDER! I really need suggestions and tips on how to make this happen. Mixing and mastering has always been a challenge for me. I made the track in Logic Pro 9, and for the mixing process ...

here ya go..pretty decent tutorial on the SM+NS intro http://www.youtube.com/user/nzmusic101# ... fW-TSFB5-o Ryan Enzed is an absolute champion and I've already subscribed to him, but this tutorial is not up to his standards. his recreation sounds nothing like the original skrillex synth in my opin...

Re: New to Dubstep, tips please.

3) You mean it does not sound like Dubstep , JK. How would I go about making more build up in the intro? I am used to UK Hardcore Intros, where they are nice and simple (most of the time) and easy for the DJ to mix with. There are lots of ways to create build, like putting a low-pass filter on inst...

Re: How To Sound Like Skrillex & Make Skrillex Bass

I'm not stupid enough to try and re-create any Skrillex bassline. Instead, I'd love to know how he makes the scratchy, screechy, computerized Lead Synth at the start of Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSeNSzJ2-Jw Anyone have any ideas? I'm using Logic Pro and I have M...

Hahaha crazy stuff man. Somehow I'd never tried playing the sampler when no instrument was loaded. I had no idea that it just played a sine wave.

So disregard that idea. ;)

Re: Help Me Make That Sound - 2011.

I guess I'll kick this off. I want to make the sound in Blood Red by Feed Me that starts at :56. I'm a noob at production, and I'm sure that there's an easy way to do it, but I can't seem to find it out  I have Massive and Razor, if that helps ;-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yp9dBIvybcg I l...

Re: How does DJ'ing work?

if you don't want to buy any hardware, download Ableton Live and drop tunes in there.

http://audio.tutsplus.com/tutorials/dji ... eton-live/

it's not as awesome as turntables but it's a decent way to start practicing the concepts of DJing.

Re: Legend4ry's sub bass tutorial

You may want to edit something. Logic Pro's EXS24 is not a synth, it's a sampler. It would be more ideal to use the ES2 synth. :)

Re: New to Dubstep, tips please.

Davwuh knows what's up. Genre mashing is awesome, don't just follow the rules of dubstep otherwise you'll be producing what's already been produced 10000 times before. This is a great start and it's obvious that you have a great deal of experience with production. What I would do if this was my trac...

Re: [FEEDBACK THREADS] NEW tim berg dubstep edit

Better! The piano is good for sure, but what I was talking about was the wobble basses and such that you've added. They're all based off the key of C and don't mesh too well or complement the original track.

keep at it man

my Lost Remix in progress, feedback please!

Hey, I'm making an Electro House / Complextro remix of some music from the show Lost and I've uploaded an in-progress sample of it to SoundCloud. If you have a second please check it out, I'd LOVE to hear some constructive criticism and feedback! Thanks guys! http://soundcloud.com/t_flex/lost-remix-...

Re: [FEEDBACK THREADS] NEW tim berg dubstep edit

Hey Bonz! I wish I could say nicer things but this track has a long ways to go. All the parts that you've written don't mesh well or match up with the original track, they are not in the same key or scale as the original song so it sounds super off. That being said, your drop sounds pretty sick and ...

Re: My First Dubstep. Demo.

A VERY good first track dude. My first track was shit compared to this. The drop is intense. The only thing I think you should work on is the buildup into the drop. I feel like it should start smaller and then get bigger more gradually. You can accomplish the small-big a lot of different ways, like ...

Cool sounds but the song structure is extremely boring, needs to switch up way way more. Have different parts and switch/build between them.

Keep up the work bro!

My New Track: "Radiance" - feedback please!

Hey guys, I'm brand new to this forum and I'm stoked to check out everybody's tunes and hopefully get some feedback and listeners on my own tunes as well. :D I just posted a dubstep/electrohouse track yesterday called "Radiance". It's a remix/mashup of some songs from the videogame Fire Em...

Re: My first release! All feedback is greatly appreciated

This is deep and interesting, and very unique. I've heard a lot of dubstep and the wobbles you've got here sound quite unlike any other wobbles I've heard, but they sound really good!! And it stays interesting and does not bore to me to tears like some dubstep songs do. My subwoofer is getting reall...

Crazy dude haha, I actually found the song in your signature (FROM HELL) yesterday on the SoundCloud's hot tracks page, and now I see it here. The track is really sick dude, I'm itching (no pun intended.... lololl) for a download link. The epic classical piece sounds really good with the dank beats ...
