Re: Can you put a free download on a bootleg remix?
I am not sure how they do it, but it will prob eventually get taken down given it is a big name artist. Here is a nice letter that I got for one. I think they scan your track names and also what ever is used for song ID like Shazam technology. I have been seeing some people use leet for the name to...

Not really, that sounds clean to me!
Can you talk a bit about how you made the sub bass? The patch is fine, but I think hits really hard with that sub reinforcement in place, def key to the sound and would love to hear what you did there to balance the mids with the lows

Yeah melodyne is probably your best bet, there really isn't a great way to do it in my experience... depending on the quality of your sample it may work well or you may be sol

Re: Rameses B vocal chop?
Honestly they don't sound too revolutionary to me, pretty standard chopping technique I will say that I'm almost positive he is using a plugin called "Bitspeek" on a lot of the processing. Either that specific plugin, or some other kind of bitcrushing/sound-degredation vst to make it sound...

Re: Monitors or treatment?
Honestly I would preference room treatment over new monitors, hands down. Your Rokit 8s are more than adequate. If you ask any professional sound designer they will tell you that the room you are mixing in is the #1 key to a successful mix, professional engineers can (and do) use monitors much crapp...

True, but the quality actually isn't too bad if you check out the files... not like you really care about dynamics if you're using brostep snares anywaysoronery wrote:someone who has magically found a way to broadcast his live streams in an uncompressed format

Re: Huge Zomboy, xKore, Skrillex basses
Anybody out there who's fluent in fm8? that vst is very complicated >.< I can only create bright leads and synths using fm8 but not monster growls like skrillex does o.O Yeah I think FM8 is only complicated in that you are effectively working backwards (in reality, you are working forwards in FM8 a...

Re: Zomboy Sound Design Cracked?
Thanks mate I'll give it a shot -- fair point on Carbon, I actually wasn't aware that f-square was also a different wavetable at every point on the dial. I'll try raising the mod osc a full octave instead of a seventh. On the LFO -- any tips as to how this should look? I generally feel like I get a ...

Re: Zomboy Sound Design Cracked?
Maybe? https://soundcloud.com/syrant/syrant-id-1 Pretty awesome, can you lay out some tips? The only thing I could tell you is to not try to achieve this sound purely through post-processing.. It can be achieved just in massive. Use a saw wave, carbon or f-square. Any will do Apply your trusty frie...

Re: Albino3: How to make some gritty growl
Totally possible with Albino. It's not a traditional synth that people use for growls, but a growl has everything to do with the wave shape you choose and the eq(/etc) automation you put on top... really shouldn't matter if you are using Massive, FM8, Albino or a tin can I know this probably isn't t...

Re: "Bursting" Bassnectar Bass
Maybe I pulled up the wrong song... but it just sounds like an electric guitar on top of a sine wave sub bass? He's probably got some funky filters over top of the guitar, maybe some playing around with EQ for a slight vowel movement? It's subtle though. It really doesn't sound that crazy to me... i...

Re: This saw-like bass/lead thing?
Lots of material on this supersaw sound (google "supersaw" in this forum and you'll see what I mean). There are two keys to that sound: 1) Layering; 2) Note Selection... I think it is the second part that is often the most missed element (amusing because people simply assume it is all soun...
