Re: Amount of bass on V.I.V.E.K.'s Asteroids
i've noticed that in traktor just listening at home with my headphones tunes don't sound as massive either, however they sound fine and normal being played out i'm not sure what it is and maybe someone can shed some more light on it but i'm betting dj software does that for whatever reason for the ...

the first beat of a breakdown with a crash and a downsweep works well and is a safe bet usually. it's hardly a technical transition but to only do it a few times a set is a-ok

Re: [production bible 2] Sub-bass
So do people use sub bass under EVERYTHING? If i created 130bpm dancable beat and added some filthy basslines to it with massive and some wobbles with scream-filter, would I still have to add an additional track just for the sub bass? that's the beauty of music and this type of music in particular;...

Re: What's my best bet for a ~1000$ sound system?
the only two systems i've ever had enough experience with to comment on are: b52 sub which blew the first night we used it (we weren't abusing it, but it was used) behringer eurolives and the b1800d sub they're powered, the eurolives I think are 215s maybe. sound great, can take a beating. the b1800...

Re: Only fat losers go to Coachella
what a twat. this guy is a loser and part of the problem. this is the kind of person who someday comes into political power and tries to shut down raves because one kid a year dies from taking a bottle full of ecstasy, or the parent who tries to sue the promoter for their kids' own fuck ups. festiva...

Re: How Do I Make My Sub Bass Wobble???
And btw, a sub bass is usually a sinewave, meaning it hits at a specific frequency and that's it. No harmonics or anything. So modulating the cutoff of a filter doesn't make specific sense. It's just the same as modulating volume, since the sound is only composed of 1 freq. lol we posted nearly the...

Re: How Do I Make My Sub Bass Wobble???
my god it still baffles me how much people don't know about sub bass on a fucking production forum of a genre based on the sub let's just assume you have a single sine wave sub for purposes of this explanation this is a SINGLE FREQUENCY at a single point. there is no low passing or high passing! if ...

timestretching and preserving pitch in fl
hey guys, normally I'm pretty good at this kind of thing but right now I'm stumped. I'm trying to stretch a 4x4 128bpm tune to make an edit of it. Using Edison I can get it to the right length/time but no matter what pitch settings I try I can't get it to where its supposed to be. Is there something...

Re: Thoughts on facebook promotion?
sharing your music page and posting links from your personal page is certainly ok. you have to start somewhere and people you know are more likely to forward your stuff, give a listen, give a like, and all that in the beginning.
