Re: Top 3 must have plug ins you'd recommend to a new starte
I don;t know logic at all, but the reputation of it's stock plugins is pretty good. From the few DAWS I've seen and used, these usually seem to be absent, or just plain crap 1. A good Transient designer, such as SPL's : http://spl.info/en/products/analog-coder-plug-ins/transient-designer/short-descr...

Re: Newb Oriented Ableton Live Tutorials
I haven't used ableton for ages, but I'm sure it comes with built in tutorials, backed up with vids on the website, can't remember how basic they are, still worth a look though.

Re: How do I Know if I am working in 24 bit or not?
In Ableton go to options, then the record tab (5th one down), the second option down sets up the bit depth for recording into the daw for bounce downs, sampling etc. For exporting go to File then Export audio, the bit depth for export can be set from here (8th option down), hope this helps.

Re: Ableton won't locate Massive
Ableton is still 32 Bit, have you installed a 64 Bit version of Massive ? If so either install the 32 Bit Version, or use bridging software such as jbridge Also ableton can only pick up on one VST folder, so is Massive installed in the same folder as the rest of your VST's ? BTW you should really ta...

Re: has it become?
Instead of a separate secret uber producers forum, why not create a beginners production sub forum, all simple production questions could be moved there, along with any basic tutorials, advice, etc. This way people could either drop by and help out, or ignore it and stick to the main production foru...
