@Someone - The sounds in your wip all sound good to my ears, but there is a lack of depth to how they are arranged. Plus, I noticed you raised the volume of your instruments for your first drop - it is a bit too noticeable.
I like the vocals. They fit in very nicely.

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@hysterics - imo the synth in the very beginning is a bit too bright and distracts the ears. I really like your main drop. I think the bass kick has a deep old school feel that adds considerably to the song. I also feel that the last pattern you arranged feels a bit out of place or needs a better ...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@Filtersnake - Jesus Christ that was awesome. You really are a touch away from the "making it" category I think. The song rips wonderfully. My ONLY rant is that the drop's energy doesn't perfectly match the energy your intro created. However, it still does mostly feel right to me. Please extend this ...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@Electric_Head - You are on another level man. I really dug this track. It is a journey to be sure. I can't really find any fault in it because it does indeed take me on a journey and it is nothing like anything I have ever created. I wish I could be more helpful, but I just can't. I guess that is a ...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@CrewCutz - Well you must have tweaked those synths/samples like a motherfucker lol :) As for headphones, I use Sennheister HD 280 Pro's against my Rokit 8 G2's. I like these headphones because they do make things sound a bit flat which means you can only produce better and they are really accurate ...

@DarkDubz - Yeah, this is a great track! I love this type of Dubstep. Have you ever heard of an artist named Elliot Mars? Anywho, the drums are really nice and punch and the basslines really stick out. The brief periods of silence in your structure really give the song an attractive appeal and swing ...

@ Gaol
Meshuggah is one of my fav metal bands so it's good to see their influence here. The intro is definitely too long and needs more texture to grab the ears.
I see what you mean by muddiness in your tracks. I can guarantee that the drum samples you are using are probably no good (unless of ...

@ CrewCutz
You have clearly learned about proper frequency management. Your synth and your drums work very well together. I liked the synth very much but I don't feel that it is being used properly for the energy of your song. I think that a lot of people in our situation find something that we ...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
Okay thanks for the update on that.
I'll give my version of constructive criticism on your track!
The drums are good and your swing/rhythm is very relaxing/attractive to my ears.
From my own experience I can see where it seems you are having difficulty maintaining arrangement that isn't ...

Opinions?
I need them!
Oh, and play it loud (to make up for the applied loudness mastering would give).

Re: reccomend some headphones for listening to dubstep?
I have a pair of Sennheiser 280 Pro's. I use them when my family is asleep or when I really want to articulate a bass line. I highly recommend them. They fit over my large ears and are so comfortable I've yet to have any fatigue while using them. They're no replacement for my Rokit 8's but they sure ...

Re: Purchase Massive for 2/3 the price
Why? Massive can do everything you need quickly. Using FM8 properly will take forever to learn. Absynth is my personal favorite, but not a good lead instrument. I do admit I could spend all day just listening to the evolving textures :). I just got Razor last night... Mixing is gonna have a fun tool ...

Purchase Massive for 2/3 the price
Hey all
I am selling a Native Instruments coupon worth $229 that allows you to purchase either Pro-53, FM8, MASSIVE or Absynth 4. I got the coupon by purchasing a ton of gear at Guitar Center and the salesman threw this coupon in to help seal the deal. I already own Komplete 7, so I don't need any ...
