I don't know about you guys but I am like really into that ChillStep like Mt.Eden is probably the best thing out there in the genre. But you know I can't always listen to Chillstep and heavy brutal Dubstep. I am also a Hip hop junkie, Tupac and Biggie by far the greatest. What the fuck.... 'ChillSt...

I get this a lot, not so much Producing but playing my saxophone.
Try pushing through the writers block to see how far you can go with your ideas and over all production level, but of course know the limit where you're doing more bad than good.

You need to have connections and to get connections you need to meet people. The best way I have met people was adding other Dj's and producers that lived in my city on facebook and through that I found out about different club nights going on in my city, which is a good start to potentially people ...

I don't' care what anyone says, but I thought the War museum was really cool and might be worth checking out if its not to expensive. The building it self is amazing if you're into architecture.
