Have you resolved your problem? If not, just curious, what DAW are you using? In FL and Ableton, when I open up Massive as a VST, I can tweak my knobs and Massive will follow, but it stays where I leave it, which I'm assuming is what you want? However, if I am recording MIDI notes/values, that ...
