Just wondering if anyone has ideas on how to get this reese bass? It's really fat and clear.
Help is greatly appreciated.

What is it about the sub?
Some extra harmonics, I can't work out how to go about it, my first guess was to use FM and modulate two sine waves together, sounds alright but not quite.

Interesting sub bass... How to accomplish?
Hey guys, the sub bass in this track is super nice, wondering if anyone knows how to get it? From 1:06, yes the sub bass, not the 'wah' bass. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zg25-8fJGaE And please don't just say "just distort a sine wave, simple" because no, you will be forever negged. Chee...

I think that's a dumb thing to say... Where the fuck should all of the money go? To the club? No, people go to see him play... So he's gonna get a lot of money.

Can I name my original track with (Ft. Marvin Gaye)?
Hey guys so I have the original track I made which I want to release for free and probably get good promotion with it. It will be 'ArtistsName' - 'ID' (Ft. Marvin Gaye) Would you guys say this is acceptable? I use about 4 lines worth of his vocal in the track, repeated in the verses. I dont really w...

What program to use to set up track info? (I.e. Name,Artist)
Hey all, Just wondering about if you guys know the best program to set up all the track info when you've done your final export? (Not sending to a mastering engineer). Heaps of people say itunes, but whenever I use that, i type in all of the information, but the information isn't locked in like it w...

Re: How to keep basses fat when cutting/highpassing for sub?
The only problem is then, i still have the bass itself hitting the sub, clashing with the sine wave subblinkesko wrote:I never cut over 90 hz. Imo you're cutting waay too high. Try moving the hp filter to 70-80 hz, and you should get the fatness back.

How to keep basses fat when cutting/highpassing for sub?
Yo! So basically, i'm having a little trouble here, I go to high pass my basslines to make room to layer the sub bass on, but when I do this, they all just lose their fatness... I'm cutting at around 140hz, so there is pretty much none of the bass touching the sub, and the sub is a low e, which is p...

Other tracks like Galacticstep by Icicle?
Hey guys!
I'm wondering if you know many artists/tracks that have a real nice minimal dubstep soughta sound. Quite like Galacticstep by Icicle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFbfkogt6Yw
It's the atmosphere that gets me, absolutely incredible.
All suggestions are appreciated!

Should I delete my first tracks off youtube?
On my YouTube account I still have my first produced tracks up after a year and a half or so. I have about 44 tracks on my channel I think. Do you think its good to delete/private my old tracks for channel qualities sake.. and to make it seem more legit to newcomers? Please let me know. No Hipster a...

Brickwall limiting is not actually brickwalling? :|
Hey guys, I'm testing out a few brickwall limiter plugs, when I use them in Ableton they are properly brickwalling and there is not audio going past the said volume (-0.3db), but once i export and put the final products back in ableton, there is a little bit of audio still going past 0db.... why is ...

Re: How to hard limit in Izotope Ozone?
Why would you want 'Max loudness', it'll make it sound horrible even if there's no "audio distortion" hence all of the dynamic range will be eliminated. Now I'm definitely not a 'Pro' in any sense of the word, but it would appear you're doing something wrong. You should check the document...

Re: Best WAV to MP3 converter?
Seeing as encoding algorthims from WAV to MP3 are pretty much standardised, if you're hearing a 'difference' in your tunes vs. tunes from other artists, that would suggest a mixdown/mastering issue. Bearing in mind that MP3 is a compressed format. Anywho, try it with Audacity as I've suggested. If ...

Re: Best WAV to MP3 converter?
Audacity Same with 160kbps, I also know that sounds like shit, but I've heard better quality 160kbps files from other artists before... Probably your mixdown/mastering TBH. Tbh, I reckon my mixes and masters are pretty good :P I don't think it's that. Unless you're talking about 'technical' part of...

Best WAV to MP3 converter?
I don't know if it's just me being critical because I'm in that mood or someshit. But I'm noticing that the wav to mp3@320kbps on Itunes sounds actually sosososo fuckin terrible. I realise wav is better quals (obviously) but the conversion I'm making afterward actually sounds shit. Same with 160kbps...
