Re: Basslines too weak
Just through a compressor on the bus, set the ratio to 1:10 and pull the threshold down to -48 dbs. Works every time. Repeat 5 more times for extra punch Thanks for putting me in your sig :D I have to admit, I don't have too much music theory knowledge. And thanks for the all the other answers as w...

Basslines too weak
Hi, When I do a bassline It's typically all there, drums, bass and midrange. And yet it still sounds like a lot is missing. It often sounds powerless and feels slow and kind of boring compared to professional tracks. I often find myself turning my tracks up to 180+ bpm to make it seem more powerfull...

Re: How to Become a SoundCloud Superstar, For real.
I got almost no comments/followers on my own soundcloud. On my label's uploads of the same tracks I got hundreds of plays on the other hand. Don't know how to get them on my own soundcloud.

Re: Improving Workflow & Ethic?
I have put out 3 EPs already and I can barely listen to any of them because I find mistakes all over the tracks, but that's how it is if you get better at it I guess. If I would work on every track until I'm 100% satisfied I would have almost no output at all. So it's sometimes better to call someth...

"Brostep" Sub-bass
I'm talking about the real low basses around 0-300hz. As far as I know there are 3 possible ways to do this: 1 - Lowcut on the higher frequency basses + sine wave 2 - Lowcut on the higher frequency basses + 808 Kick 3 - Don't lowcut on the higher frequency basses What's the best way to do it? I saw ...

Commercial sample CDs
Hi,
Assuming you want to make the typical Beatport-Top10 DnB/Dubstep-Drums... I know there is a lot of layering involved but can anybody recommend some good commercial sample CDs as a start?

Collaboration
Hi, Maybe some producer here is interested in making one or more tunes together or just learning new stuff from each other? Considering the best case you should... - be making dancefloor oriented tunes, no skrillex or too poppy-stuff but definitely 'filthy'. - be at least on the same production leve...

Re: Mix Volume Chart
kornspun is a legend in the logo making realms lmfao :cornlol: that had to be the funniest thread I've seen on here so far. On topic though, pretty sure you mean frequency? There's not a certain level to put your seperate tracks into (imo.) Try turning all your instruments down, bringing them slowl...

Mix Volume Chart
Hi,
I found a chart some time ago on the internet that showed on which volume level every element of the mix (hihtat, leads, bass etc.) should be. Somebody still got it, or maybe something simmilar?

Arranging Dubstep
Any tips for arranging Dubstep? How do you work? How about differences arranging filth/brostep, deep dubstep or dubstep with vocals?
Let me know how you do it!
