Re: Sending mastered tracks to a label?
On top of that, that was all said and done, and wasn't even RELEVANT to half of the insulting and discussion and flame that went on here. -T And again - all of that was brought on yourself... as Wub clearly pointed out, you insulted Sparxy's label, said I didn't know what I was talking about even t...

Re: Sending mastered tracks to a label?
Toric's third post in the whole thread... You should re read my first post on this thread. That way you stop making an ass off yourself. Kthx. And about your PM. Bad attitude? Lol. K. Tek had sent me a flame letter after being an asshole to me, which is on the front page of the thread. Maybe you gu...

Re: Sending mastered tracks to a label?
The fact of who insulted who is largely irrelevant to my previous post tbh, Toric. All of the points I raised can be backed up by reading through this thread. The same cannot be said about half of the stuff you've come up with. It is completely relevant, as you've encouraged a flame war here, Wub. ...

Re: Sending mastered tracks to a label?
wtf guys...why hating so much? If you don't agree with Tor's ideas, then don't follow them...and then let him go wherever that mentality takes him. And also, who gives a crap whether or not Deep Medi gets 30,000 sales on its releases? It doesn't matter to the topic of this thread. It was as much hi...

Re: Things that annoy you most about production...
@Toric: It’s not jealousy, more the fact that they ruined a likeable, recognisible sound. I couldn’t give a flying hoot how much their earning. I’ve never seen Nero but seen Chase and Status 3-4 times, and it was a great set to hear because it was all early stuff (this was a couple of years ago) an...

Re: Sending mastered tracks to a label?
Furthermore, my Aunt is a classical pianist. Yet another industry I know plenty about, as I am ALSO a classical pianist. I haven't hired myself out, but I do play classical piano and I do know a ton of people in THAT industry as well. Regardless I'm done arguing with people who don't want my advice...

Re: Sending mastered tracks to a label?
You're forgetting that most people in this scene aren't in it to make money (OH MY FUCKING GOD, REVELATION, PEOPLE DO THINGS BECAUSE THEY ENJOY IT!?!?!? WHAT THE FUCKITY FLYING SHITFUCK!?!?!?!?!). They're in it because they fucking love the music! It's a community where lots of people know each oth...

Re: Sending mastered tracks to a label?
Too bad he's got absolutely no point. How can you argue that I don't know shit about the dubstep industry because I come from another industry when he comes from a different industry himself, wub? Also you deleted the wrong post, damn it. He has a very valid point, and tbh I'll believe his figures/...

Re: Sending mastered tracks to a label?
TBH id rather sign a hobby producer, it would mean they're not only out to line their own pockets and have a passion for the music and the scene, unlike you who seems to be seeking mainstream success, only in it for the cash (which i'm pretty sure you're not going to get having listened to your tun...

Re: Sending mastered tracks to a label?
I have worked for bigger companies than you - and yeah, I know what IS possible in the music industry, but that doesn't mean it is possible for mid-sized Dubstep labels/artists. I used to be a classical booking agent where I would secure fees ranging from 10k-50k per gig for most of the solo artist...

Re: Sending mastered tracks to a label?
you talk about release schedules, promotion stuff, conventions!? wtf. Your label doesn't have a release schedule? Or a promotion and marketing plan? Doesn't go to the usual networking conventions? Doesn't sound like a label to me at ALL. Sounds like someone releasing music for a hobby. Deep Medi ha...

Re: General production pet hates
I dislike the way the likes of Nero and Chase and Status made so much good earlier stuff then sold out the underground to become commercial and consequently see the standard of their tracks dip, to cater for a crowd that will listen to anything with a cheesy vocal and a kick... snare pattern. I dis...
