LFO Tool - Note Retrig in Ableton
Basically I want to use my kick drum to trigger LFO Tool so that I can sidechain my basses. I've checked the manual for midi routing and I've messed around with the I/O section but I can't get it to pick up my kick signal as a MIDI note so it can retrigger the lfo - can someone give me a dummies gui...

Re: My kick drum sounds too clicky!
Imma try some of this, I done some volume automation and it seems to be cutting through a little more however, when I've went to master it, my kicks distorting a lot, I've got too much going on in the low end and it's taking up too much headroom - think I may just go back to my older kick. I watched...

My kick drum sounds too clicky!
So my kick drum sounds really weighty on it's own but when it's played along side my sub bass, it just sounds clicky even after I've tried every different attack, releases, ratio's and thresholds on the compressor. I know for house, a lot of producers remove some low end of their sub so that their k...

Updating Massive (converting .ksd's)
I've got massive 1.1.5 and it saves presets as .ksd files. I'm wanting to upgrade to the latest version of massive where it saves them as .nmsv files, now I know you can convert all of your ksd's to nmsv files but what about unsaved massive presets, what will happen to those? I've got countless proj...

Re: Ableton *out of memory* Problem
Just had the idea that it could be a plugin that could be causing all this crashing and it turns out I was right - Miroslav's Philharmonik was causing it to crash all of the time for some reason, i'll just have to stay away from using it in future or just bounce to audio straight away

Ableton *out of memory* Problem
Hey guys, Just finished up on a tune the other night and for some reason it won't export, I keep getting an out of memory error when I clearly have enough (4gb ram and 32-bit version of ableton can only use 3gb). I've been told to freeze tracks but I can't even do that since I get the same "out...

Re: Mixdowns affecting the Mastering Process
This is the wierd part, I literally popped it into Ozone 5 and popped the maximizer on it with a low threshold and a fast release and it was done

Mixdowns affecting the Mastering Process
Basically I've been struggling to get my tracks to a volume that I'm happy with to match other tracks out there, it's a right pain in the arse for me, but my friend sent me his track to master for him, so I thought I'd give it a go. I done what I usually do with my tracks when mastering them and it ...

Re: Process of releasing a tune or two on a label.
They said that they liked the sound of the stuff I had released previously (for free just through facebook/soundcloud etc) which was about 2 weeks ago hence why I am out of releasable material

Re: Process of releasing a tune or two on a label.
Thats my problem also, I've got no material to give them atm so I'll have to make the tracks for the label which is kind of a crappy way to work, but still haha

Re: Process of releasing a tune or two on a label.
The labels called Audio Rejectz - I've never really heard of them but I've heard of a few artists they've dealt with - they seem pretty good, it's just I have no clue of what happens after I've said I'm interested in working with them. I don't want to look like a noob haha

Process of releasing a tune or two on a label.
I've been making tracks for 2 or 3 years and I've been approached by a label saying they're interested in releasing a few tracks of mine, but this is the first time I've ever been contacted by a label and I have no clue what this entails. Can someone run me through what will happen to get these trac...

Snare sample packs
Can anyone point me towards some good sample packs for snares? Obviously not expecting ready to use snares but some that sound fairly decent. I've already got most of the vengeance packs and a couple of primeloops ones but that's it really. What are you guys using? I know this is a dubstep forum but...

DIY Acapella's
Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction of making a half decent DIY acapella as I've started this remix below with just the original track in I've tried to EQ the vocals out by high passing and low passing the track to make the vocals a bit more prominant but it's not really wor...

Snare Sample Packs
Has anyone got some decent snare sample packs they can reccomend to me? I've already got the halftone ones and I've got alot of vengeance packs already. Trying to recreate the snare from Zomboys and Skisms remix of Parasite (which can be heard below) http://soundcloud.com/sknifex/hadouken-parasite-s...

Mixing Alvin Risk Style Synths.
Having a shot at making some moombahton but i'm finding it really hard to mix in the two different types of sounds I've got. I've got the sorts of basses I normally use (listen to any of my tracks, you'll see, them sort of digitally, grainy wide sounding things) then I've got an alvin risk style las...
