Got any tips on making a room acoustically better? mine seems to be trapping bass in the corners

hi, when mastering what effects/techniques do you use? are there any particular software plugins you would recommend, as i'd like to have a go at mastering my own tracks. i've also heard that the mastering process can make tracks sound bigger (stereo and depth), if this true, what is done to do so ...

I got a mastering question for youz. what are common techniques used in mastering to perfect the audio? I'm not talking about limiters, reverb, general eq and whatnot. I'm talking the behind the scenes work to get rid of problems.

actually i have a question for you: i hear a lot about keeping headroom in a mix, and a lot of people recommend having your mix peak at -10db before you send it off to be mastered. is this how you prefer it to be?
