Re: Mixdown/Mastering on this track?
Oh guys, what I meant was that I can't get it any louder without clipping AFTER putting a limiter and compressor during mastering. I was experimenting and I was able to make it sound louder but I had to sacrifice some low end in order to do so. Is that even a proper technique? Shelfing the lower end...

Mixdown/Mastering on this track?
https://soundcloud.com/thehiddenproducer/bouncey-original-mix-not-finished Can someone tell me why this is the loudest I can get my track? Without anything on my master channel, my track peaks at -6db. This is the loudest I can push the mix without clipping. Also I was wondering how to make my trac...

Guys! Help me with mixdown! Advice PLZ!
Something making it sound weak, but I don't know what it could be. As far as mastering, do you guys dip some of the mid range at all?

Re: Problems with mixing the lead wobble
Thanks for the feedback, everyone. the wobble itself is fine, but the bass underneath sounds too quiet on my (shoddy) system. compared to for example ikonika (which was playing before i clicked the link) it's like there's no sub at all. Okay, I'll bring up the levels on my sub channel Just beef up t...

Re: I'm stopping myself from making music
Sometimes, I'll love what I'm making but after hearing it too much it starts to get annoying so I don't finish it. It's really frustrating.

Re: Which company deserves the award for best software?
Pretty subjective, but I choose Ableton because of the idea of session and arrangement view. It's so easy to create loops of your all ideas on the session view then put them together in the arrangement.

Re: Quick question on workflows/production
I just use one project eqing/compressing every channel as I create the track. And only if it's necessary, I'll put it through a mastering stage on a different project.

Problems with mixing the lead wobble
Hey guys, I'm a regular on this forum and always search for dubstep production tips. However, I could not find any topic regarding my issue. That is, I can't seem to fit the wobble bass lead into my mix. I've tried compression and cutting some frequencies at around 160 - 320 hz, but it still sounds ...
