I finished the track with the machinegun sound i posted earlier.
Here it is. Just subtle changes with the layering can give decent results.

Re: Hard 'machine gun' basses? how.
https://soundcloud.com/krodh/machine-gun-bass I've been trying to get that machinegun sound for sometime. This is what I came up with. The track is still in arrangement phase. I haven't even mixed anything properly yet. :P Okay, what I did basically is used two oscillators in massive chrome and wic...

Krodh - Turn it up in here (heavy glitchhop)
Hey, guys. I would like some opinions on the mixdown of this track. I've layered a lot of basses to get that guitar riff kind of bass and made sure nothing clips but still I need a better pair of headphones to really know what's going on.

Re: Watashiwaxogisan - The Maze (Dark/Dungeon/deathstep)
Hey, thanks for listening man. I do get what you mean by giving it some breathing space. I'll work on that. I just wanted to track to keep hitting hard and now it's just hard to spot the changes in bass etc. So nice suggestion.
The weird moan. lol Okay, it will go too.

Re: Krodh - Curbside Torture (Deathstep/Darkstep)
Okay, here is what i normally do in making basslines. I start creating the bass that i want in massive adding notch and comb filters then i resample it and split the frequencies. Then i do add flanger, phasers and other distortion to separate frequencies to get what i want. So are you saying that i ...

Could you explain to me what do you mean by adding more movement to the mid range? Thanks.efence wrote:it does need more structure. more development of the energy. it would also help if the mid range had some movement to it.

Re: Krodh - Curbside Torture (Deathstep/Darkstep)
Dude, thanks for listening. I loved your Machines and Monsters pt. 2. The basslines in that rack are epic and i love the lead that goes along with it throughout the song. I wanted the track to sound like something the crowd could headbang or move to together. Hence, the even paced. I do listen to an...

Krodh - Curbside Torture (Deathstep/Darkstep)
I've been producing dubstep for over a year now trying to get better reading all the useful information from this forum. I've always been into metal and other aggressive forms of music so evidently the stuff i listen to is generally artists like Bratkilla, 12gauge, Mantis, Sadhu etc. So this track i...

Re: Best Distortion/Overdrive plugins?
Devastor usually does the trick for me. Ohmicide is a great pluging or so i've heard. I haven't quite got the hang of it yet. Also, sometimes i use the distortion on guitar rig on my basslines.
Hope this helps you. D16 Devastor would be a good startup plugin it has some great presets.

Re: How to get my vocal sample in sync with the song BPM?
Thank you, guys. For all the suggestions.
I was able to figure this out. The bpm of the original was 128. So just a simple click on warp feature on ableton fixed the vocals for me.
Thanks again.

How to get my vocal sample in sync with the song BPM?
Hello, i'm fairly new to producing so just bear with me on this. I'm entering a remix competition for the first time. I downloaded the remix pack which had the bassline, lead, vox etc. And the bpm of the original song is 128. Correct me if i'm wrong but i thought the bpm of these bass, lead and vox ...
