Re: OS/DAW Question
Well it's not a question of speed just disk space. 30gb on an 120gb ssd is a fair whack! As for the settings, I come from the old xp way of doing things where there were a million tweaks you needed to make to get the pure daw system with no extraneous things that were not related to music production...

OS/DAW Question
Hi, so instead of having two seperate operating systems, one for daw duties and the other for general use, can you just have the one OS, but with 2 usernames each with the programs/settings needed. Thus saving 30GB on an SSD. I think the only relevant setting that you cannot change per user is proce...

Re: Alesis M1 520- Monitors
thanks for the info. I always thought that monitor speaker had all the inputs on one speaker then have a cable from 1 speaker to the other. But bizzarelyfrom pics on google I think that these speakers have identical and even each have their own power cable. It doesn't help that there are no pictures...

Alesis M1 520- Monitors
I have never had any monitor speakers before so am a total noob. I just want to know if I can get a L/R phono rca outs from my shitty audio interface into these speakers? They have a: * TRS Input – This ¼” input * XLR Input balanced It might seem an abvious question but there is only one of the abov...

Re: 'Skunk-like cannabis' increases risk of psychosis
It's one of those drugs that you 'grow out of' when you realise that if you need it, so you can be a certain way or feel a certain way, then it is not you and is just the drug anyway, so what is the point? Whatever it gives you it takes it away somewhere else that you don't realise. For me it just t...

Re: What are the top 10 guitarists of all time?
Depends what you want from the guitarist, just fret wanking shreddin for the sake of it then it's all Stevie Vai, Satriani etc.... that shit bores me beyond belief. Would sooner here a mean sinister riff or something more experimental than a 'look at how good I am' guitar solo. 1: Jimi Hendrix 2: S...

Re: Atheism
right so maybe this...maybe that..., it's unknowable. I don't know why you even give that a name. So somebody can call themselves an agnostic deist and the question of god is irrelevant. k If you don't make any assertions, there is nothing to talk about. jo ricky, do you frequent r/atheism? wat?

Re: Atheism
It's almost becoming endearing how you only want to discuss ridiculous terms like agnostic, theism and such. And you apparent measure of a person's intelligence is based solely on their understanding of these pointless terms. For an objective human these terms are meaningless, so i don't care to kno...

Re: Atheism
I'm not saying you don't understand your history it I'm saying you don't know it if your standard of verifiable is to mean anything. I'm an agnostic deist, simply put it means that whether God exists or not is entirely uninteresting and we should consider science the best method of understanding ho...

Re: Atheism
You're not as smart or well informed as you think I have no belief in a god. Is that a belief system? No, unless as I have already said: you would then have a belief system to describe every possible concept for which there is no evidence, that is absurd. You mean the scientific method right: predi...

Re: Atheism
I don't care whether belief system is in inverted commas or not it's simply wrong. I'd also be careful with verifably true, verificationism is generally rejected as self defeating and if you only believe that which can be considered true indubitably then you end up believing not very much at all be...

What kind of idiot (rickyarbino) would argue that atheism is a religion. I don't even give it a name. In exactly the same way that I don't give a name to not believing that herds of unicorns escape from people's assholes when they go to sleep every night. In the scope of this thread, theism's belief...

Re: Male Waxing
So I guess creme is the best way because with wax you have to wait for it to grow to a certain length again before you can wax the same place, which kinda defeats the object. shaving sux cos it grows back quick, and gets stubbly. But with creme its probably important not to leave it on any longer th...

I'm sorry. It just winds me up when people just piss and shit all over any kind of reasoned logic in favour of ego-driven horse shite, whilst doing so also displaying about as much objectivity as a stiff penis. @OP: I will increase your status from 'full retard' to merely 'foolish', if you can expla...

Re: Russia Orders Obama: Tell World About Aliens, Or We Will
I don't doubt other world lifeforms, but given that our galaxy is 100,000 light-years in diameter, and the observable universe (including the expansion of space) is some 93 billion light-years wide. And let us say if the nearest Alien species to evolve was 1000 light years away. The odds of them bei...
