Re: Take The Piss thread

I think there's a clear distinction between Daft Punk sampling instrument hits and interpreting it their own way with their own style, and Cyrex sampling entire basslines with notes and no modification. er, nothin.... nothin, its just that's not what they do, they nick entire passages, loops, etc v...

Re: Fairly new to Electronic music, would like to know a lit

About the Piano ; Budget? I have just under £350 to spend on a keyboard, I was interested in the MPK88 but it was way out of my price range. Now I'm looking into Fatar's keyboard line and I found an 88 keyed, fully weighted, hammer actioned keyboard for £300. I think it's a no brainer :> But it doe...

Re: new label blah blah blah...

I've always wondered how people made record labels out of thin air; guess it just takes drive, connections, and experience. Haha, good luck man. Wish you the best.

Re: Take The Piss thread

Oh God, that was awful. I don't normally listen to Skrillex tracks, but when I do, I expect it to be by Skrillex. When we say sampling, do we mean drums, instruments and vocals? Or do we mean other people's work? I think there's a clear distinction between Daft Punk sampling instrument hits and inte...

This can't be Kanye AND Jay-Z...It's so poor.

I never knew Flux recorded those vocals himself.

Re: The extremely embarrasing basic question thread

Is there a way to automate the transpose feature in Ableton without any knobs or sliders? There doesn't seem to be an automation line but I think you can assign it to a knob :(

Very interesting. I've never considered myself as a DJ, nor a producer to be honest, but reading that, I assume a lot, or all, of the money comes from live performances.

Fairly new to Electronic music, would like to know a little

I'm not new to Music production per se (gotta make a good impression using these fancy words), but after a long time of being an idle connoisseur (yeah, I'm making such an impression) of the art of Electronic music. I've been reading up on the techniques around Electronic music, like drum programmin...
