Re: What kind of "delay" do you use..
You'll find a lot of tape delay emulators that have saturation, and ping pong is very common. If you want to get really interesting and complex delayed sounds going your best bet is to send your audio to an fx chain that starts with a stock delay on 100% wet, then you can add saturation, compression...

How did you re-pitch them in arrangement view?orangeapplesauce wrote: I tried using bass one shots once, i found turning on the warp function and putting them together in arrangement view was a lot easier than trying to load them into samplers in session view.

Re: What kind of "delay" do you use..
FL plugins are a bit plain and basic. I doubt many professional dubstep producers use them. ..and if it was less fiddly to automate them with LFOs and easier to get warm sustained feedback. Put your delay on a send then add an effects chain too it to make it less plain. A delay is simply the reprod...

I think he was talking about the white noise being on the chain.Metropolis wrote:Why's chrous and reverb on the same chain a bad thing? Is it acceptable to use delay on your sub bass?
Not really, this will just cause phasing and make your sub bass weakerMetropolis wrote:Is it acceptable to use delay on your sub bass?

.. but Fruity Loops stock plugins ain't exactly going to help me sound like Ed Rush and Optical, are they? :? No plugin can do this, but learning how to effectively use even stock plugins will. You can't judge free vsts by their GUI's, they people making them don't get any benefit by wasting their ...

What do you mean by suspicious? The vst is a .dll, its not going to do anything to your system. And its beat synced so it can fall on quarter notes, eighth notes, etc, with the option to add groove. Your DAW should also have a built in delay with tempo sync.

Have simpler/sampler start at the beginning of the hit, then loop over a small section in the middle of the sample, it can even be just a few waves. If your loops aren't sounding right make sure they start and end where the waveform is at exactly zero.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't metal use a lot of triplets in the drums? One of your band mates might be able to help you out a lot.

I agree, but I think I'm just going to sign up for a year and hope it comes out for either in that time frame. Which sounds like it could be possible: "On the client, we are actually using heavily pure C++, and very little ObjectiveC. (no .NET at all) Because of this porting our code to Linux w...

Someone on the video asked if you could make dubstep tracks with it, here is their reply: "Yes and No = Yes, you can make dub step drum patterns, jungly rolls, cool arrangements that have the dubstep feel, however you can't warble the basses (yet) or bend sounds (yet) :). Hope that helps."

Re: Help! Major lag when running multiple instances of massi
also use the freeze track option in ableton, this'll deactivate massive and render it to audio. This, don't bother bouncing it to a wave unless you have your sounds exactly as you want them. Its much easier to unfreeze a track to make changes than it is to reopen the patch and bounce it to audio ag...
