Re: Mix a Week Challenge
First entry in, and it's a 40min submission (opening post did say 15mins) and has at least 2 Skrillex tunes that I can see.
FWIW, I think the weekly 'theme' should be a word/description, not a sub-sub-sub genre classification. Let people interpret a word however they want.

I use 2 krk's and an Allen and Heath Xone:DX with Serato Itch, soon I'll switch to CDJ's of course but I'm on a tight budget right now.

That's a good idea! Unfortunately for me, I have the drawing skills of a new born baby.

Dude, you're posting some pretty harsh criticism for someone who is clearly very inexperienced at making dubstep...

Re: Metal grinding/Robotic movement wobble bass
Like so many have said before The Grid on DOA is a goldmine for this stuff. I've made some VERY close Datsik and Excision sounds that resemble this and the key is resampling. Re: Understanding Sub Bass
Not sure on what you're using to produce, but that's a great sound so far! Hmm.. IF you use FL studio try messing around with the 3xOsc a little bit. I have a bass I use whenever my wobbles are going I have the bass playing on that note just an octave lower and it sounds great and can hardly tell it ...

Metal grinding/Robotic movement wobble bass
I've been searching the web for just about any signs of making some sort of metal grinding/robot movement type sounding wobble bass. Or maybe like a little dryer wobble compared to borgore. It's really hard for me to explain this wobble. But I do have several example videos,
