Re: Would you mind helping me with learning?
On fl you would open slicex or something and make a cool break beat with some drum loop, then you would clone that channel but only KEEP the snare notes that are in the pianoroll and delete everything else. Then on the original slicex channel you would KEEP everything BUT the snares. Then on the clo...

Re: Would you mind helping me with learning?
A couple of neat tricks that I have taught my myself over the years with fl is just experimenting. Find a plugin that sounds cool, fuck with it. Then go to the help section and read all about it. They have a lot of external links on there that can really help you out. When I was starting out making ...

Fl Studio midi help
is there a way you can have two midi devices (oxygen 49 and a nano pad 2) and have them each linked to there own vst? like having the oxygen playing notes in massive, while the nanopad is playing notes in FM8. I really find it obstructive to have every midi device all linked to one vst. thanks in ad...

Re: substitutions for the dumaxx/drumpad plugins
But what would I use if I wanted to record samples? I don't have anything that would sound like something I could put in a track. And even if I did, what should I do processing wise? I wanna learn how to make dnb breaks if that helps. Not necessarily to make dnb, but so I have a better sence from a ...

Re: Faster Hat Patterns in Logic and FL
hold the "ALT" key while re sizing a piano roll note, it ignores the magnet settings and lets you freely draw notes.

substitutions for the dumaxx/drumpad plugins
For those of you who don't know, drumpad is a physical modeling vst that focuses on making drum samples (kicks, hats, snares, all that shit). I was just curious if anyone knows about similar plugins? Preferably something with a more versatility. thanks in advance. :p

Re: Good idea to always use max voices in massive?
a cool thing I read somewhere is that if you are working with a even set of voices (2, 4, 6, ect.) it is less hard on your cpu because the sound is equally matched or some shit. but I find myself using odd voices every now and then because it just fits. :p

Re: Best speakers for the price?
I have been searching for speakers myself. the m-audio av40's are cheap and apparently sound good too. but if you are going spend a little more the yamaha HS50M's are amazing. although, you never specified what kind of speakers you want. I just assumed you were looking for reference moniters http://...

Re: How to mix dubstep with dnb?
contact - noisia and foreign beggars goes from 94 to 170. and not to mention alot of noisias stuff does that. you could also find dubstep song on beatport that sound on tempo but says like 153 or something, cause it probably switched during the song.

What are some good flanger, chorus, distortion, and just some overall ones that are really cool. I don't hav...
