Re: Basslines these days! re-sampling?

Okay so we've created a patch with potential then then we resample / split / effect / resample Once you've got a great sounding sample, how would you load it into a sampler (say the one in ableton) to use as a new instrument without stretching it all out of wack when we move 3-4 keys up from the or...

I suggest you make a new thread about rillex bass.
The fact that people still make threads about this is funny. Its not like he's been using the same exact patches since 08 or anything

Re: how do you guys start your tracks?

I've learned to have a template ready for the stuff I find myself using all the time, but most of my tunes come down to sound design as in inspiration from a patch I let it speak to me and usually a song just comes.

Re: ever feel discouraged about your tunes and skills?

I tend to come up with something maybe intro to the first drop and then put it away for awhile and when I come back I usually feel like its the worst idea I've ever made and that I shouldnt finish it. But I push through and I usually end up with my best tune (imo) The other day I got a real perspect...

Re: Favourite spectrum analyzer vsts?

I just decided to start using an out of the box plugin to monitor my EQ spectrum

Tried out a few but I've really stuck with fab filter's pro-q for the last month or so.

Re: Skrillex, Zomboy, Filthzilla etc. Snares

Use snappy clap and a punchy snare sample in layers until you have a pretty good source sample.

then Its all about a super compressed 200hz punch man try an EQ / Comp / EQ until desired sound is achieved.
