Re: shroomhead one - Double crossed (102 Bpm Neuro/ Funky)
sounds good, might wanna double check your mix and remove some chorus from the mid band on that reese. Try to sculpt your hats better too, painfully 'stock' sounding. Also tune your snare and gate some of that verb oozing out.

Re: Resampling question
When you actually bounce out the audio for your resamples you'll notice a considerable difference than just using sends... just make sure you eq.limit.compress.whatever to taste and get it perfect each time you bounce. I reccommend a maximum of 2 total resamples of 1 sound before it sounds too absur...

Re: The Ableton Q&A Thread
Hi guys, not trolling for once, need some genuine help because Ableton is annoying me so much. I don't want to move to Logic because I'm so used to the interface of Ableton but things like this are irritating. Things I have experienced recently in Ableton:- 1. Bursts of deafening static / white noi...

Re: Producing electronic music as a hobby-- explain this to
@OP--Is it really hard for you to wrap your head around that learning sound design, music theory, creating a sonic landscape from scratch, etc isn't fun? That when your neurons fire proactively in the reward part of you brain when you can finally conceptually understand a production technique isn't ...

Re: How do you guys set up your sub-mixes?
@wub I'm talking about close to final mix-down auxiliary channels, not exactly bussing... You would send those buses indeed to the respective auxiliary channel

How do you guys set up your sub-mixes?
To get one thing out of the way first, I know the thread name sounds misleading, but when I say sub I don't mean sub bass. The way I route mine is have all my tracks I want rolled off at around 30Hz (give or take the roll-off point for a track) sent through 1 auxiliary channel (return tracks in Able...

Re: Benefits of releasing an EP over singles?
There's some good points in this thread, but my personal take is that the benefits depend on your artistic vision. Do you feel like your vision has been expressed by releasing 1 song? 2? 5? Where does it feel complete and where do you feel you've showed enough at a particular moment? To me it's tha...

Let me clarify. When I say EP, I mean a 6+ track compilation of tunes.

Benefits of releasing an EP over singles?
Looking for quality insight and discussion, I know how 80% of DSF loves to troll
Edit:
When I say EP I mean 6+ track complilation.
Also this thread directly pertains to my situation right now... Regardless of EP/single all the music will be released free.
