Hey guys, a friend and myself came together last month as a production duo under the name Joint Relief.
We just recently put this track up, but feel that it needs more work (drum work/hi-hats, mixing/mastering, more FX, etc). We also have 2-3 other tracks in the works and have been receiving ...

Re: Sintra - All Night (Dubstep)
my advice would be listen to some of your favorite dubstep tracks and count the beats. then listen to which beats they put their snares, kicks, hats, even effects on. it'll be different for every song, but it will give you a better idea on how to write your drum patterns.

Scocco - Untitled [Dark/Spacy]
Here's an unfinished/unmastered track that I've been working on. I've been using FL Studio, with Massive and Sytrus as my synths. I feel that I'm nearly finished with it, but haven't gotten any serious feedback yet. I have yet to listen to this track through a decent sound system, so any feedback on ...

Re: Scocco - Powering Down [Dark/Sub Bass]
Hi, yeah the bass is massivley clipping, with the drums, for me personally there was no rhythm and seemed a bit, i dont wanna say boring, but no umph to them, and yeah layer more sounds over the snare.
Krease. I'm not sure what DAW you use, but the ways I usually thicken up the sub include adding ...

Re: MOTHERFUCKING DRUMSTEP
Coming from someone who hasn't really listened to drumstep, this sounds a like like dnb to me. Heavy ass dnb, haha. But it sounds like it has a lot of potential, the quality of production is up there.

drops so goddamn hard, well done. i'm diggin the "element 115" sound clip that you used. i haven't listened to this through my headphones yet, but the snare sounds like it could be a bit louder. it sounds well made though.

Re: Scocco - Powering Down [Dark/Sub Bass]
Thanks for the input. Any tips on how to thicken the subs? Drums are something that I love working on, especially getting the perfect amount of reverb. I did add some reverb to the snares, and even to the hats for this track, but i'll definitely play around with it a bit more.

Scocco - Powering Down [Dark/Sub Bass]
Hey guys, this is the third track that I've produced so far. For this song, I learned how to use automation clips which made it a bit more interesting than my last two. The main focus I had when creating this song was making a dark atmosphere and experimenting with sub basses. I've been getting into ...

Re: Scocco - Dark Secrets [Dubstep/Dark]
Thanks for the feedback. The kick and snare were the stock kick and snare that came with the program (FL Studio), but I messed around with an equalizer to change up the frequencies, also added some reverb to the snare. Do you have any recommendations for a good starting kick and snare sample?

Scocco - Dark Secrets [Dubstep/Dark]
Hey guys, I'm pretty new to the dubstep genre, as well as producing. I've been listening to dubstep for about a year now, and I just started producing a month or so ago. This is the second song that I've produced so far, and I've been tweaking it as I learn more tricks and techniques.

What's upppp. My name is John, I'm from Orlando Florida. I just recently got into dubstep within the last year, before that I was mostly listening to dirty dutch/house. I started teaching myself how to produce about a month ago and I've been working on putting out tracks as I'm learning the genre.
