You, being an intelligent human being, are able to tell what's good advice and what's not. Support people who are good and helpful, so they stand out in the crowd and be happy there is a crowd. :)

It's just a matter of respect I think. The person posting usually thinks the advice is right and is using his/her time to share it with hatever community he posts for.

Re: Why do people who are shit make tutorials ?

Wait guys... You're actually complaining that someone is sharing their knowledge about music production? Isn't something wrong with the picture here?

You should be happy the advice (wrong or not) is out there. WHat you do with it is another story.

Re: Huge atmospheric explosion?

Yeah just like guys above said. It's pretty easy to create. Layer some sounds, reverb, bounce to wav. reverse some, layer more for taste. ;-)

I think they go that low in many quality cinemas for effects. I've seen some rotary woofers that go much lower for cinema use, down to 1Hz even which is just plain ridicoulous. Need to go check one out some day.

Re: bass notes that sound the best on club systems

E1 - just over 40Hz. I like making tracks in Eb1 - they sound good to me in higher spectrums, but they rarely translated well to the clubs I'm usually in.

Re: Headphones......?

I use Sennheiser HD 600 for a couple of years now and completelly in love with them. I use them for final stereo image tweaking if I'm in doubt.

They're very solid. My studio is a mess - they've fallen countless times. :D I only had to change the cable twice and finally bought HD650 cable - no ...

Re: Low sub eq help

I'm just sharing my experience about the low end frankly. I'm a great fan of cutting anything unnecesarry out of music really. It depends on a track. Sometimes it's beneficial, sometimes not so much, but let's face it - around 30Hz most of you can't hear/feel propertly at home while producing, won't ...

Re: Bassline Movement

I preffer the old way if I was to choose one. I think it give more interesting results, but really combining both, modern synthesis automation and then exporting it and smashing the effect, assumming one knows what he's doing, is killer. :)

Re: Low sub eq help

bare in mind that by high passing at 40 i don't mean total silence below ;), mind the slope. it all depends on your track. Sometimes I'll cut at 30Hz around, sometimes lower. Cutting at 20Hz is just obvious I think. Most woofers / speakers don't even go below, and you gain some headroom still.

Re: Finished Tunes For Feedback - Nov/Dec 2011

@nnny Thanks! No samples used. :) As in no melody samples and full phrases or such. :) I believe in "make it yourself" philosophy most of the time.

I listened to some of the tracks here and I'm definatelly gonna leave some of my opinion, but as i said. I'll wait until i'm back on proper sounding ...

Re: Finished Tunes For Feedback - Nov/Dec 2011

Hi guys!

Soundcloud

I'll post some feedback as soon as I get back to my regular speaker system. Right now judging dubstep on a laptop just seems like a slap in the face for me. ;-)

Re: Low sub eq help

There aren't many speakers / subs for an average person that could hit this note effectivelly. Plus there's a reason most of the "low and deep" tracks are made in E - 41Hz. It's the lowest note above 40Hz. Usually most tracks will be high passsed at 40Hz, not to mention compression of the file.

If ...
