Re: Dungeon Drums Processing

Sparxy pretty much nailed it. Just make sure to layer your high frequency elements as well. Have one hi hat going on straight and crank the aux knob on that to get the reverb shimmer, layer a more dynamic line for the groove and high pass it, add a stronger hat hit to get that on tempo feeling and t...

Filter just like Massive's Band Reject.

Self explanatory, I love that sound, can't get the same with Kontakt's BR filter. The less knobs the better, I'm willing to pay up to 50 dollars.

Thank you.

Re: DISTRICT - DARK & DANGEROUS SAMPLEPACK VOL.1 OUT 15/07/1

Re: Adventure Club

the pitch correction in that krewella tune hurts my ears, also I don't like that girl commanding me to drink her vaginal fluids.

Re: I cant work in odd numbers...

I don't even know what my numbers are, I just mix it until it sounds good with the drums and subs being the loudest peaks, making sure to leave -12db to -3db of headroom.

Re: Noob but technical question/collab

Seamless tutorials in youtube and this forum are the "production bible" for this more edgy, pop/commercial sound you are looking for, man knows his sounds. But 3 months in, you still got a long way to go, so sit tight and enjoy the ride, don't try to put the chariot in front of the horses....

Re: Transition from designing sounds to Arranging them!

meh I just sound design until I have a nice midrange loop, throw a bland drum beat underneath it and try to get a 16 bar loop going on, work everything else from there. don't waste time designing risers, incidentals or shit like that, there are good sample packs for those and unless it's a lead/pad ...

Re: Elaborate vocal pitching

I've also found that if i just transpose the clip down a few semitones (ableton) it becomes all muddy and unintelligible. yet in a lot of "professionally produced" tracks the pitched-down vocal is all nice and clear. why? You can try using a vocal pitching algorithm that preserves formant...

Razor is one kick ass vocoder once you get through learning it, all the movement is from Razor itself, the external chorus is barely noticeable.

Re: [Mac]Know Any GOOD Dimension Expanders?

Bounce the audio, duplicate it, pan one channel all the way to the left and invert phase, pan another channel all the way to the right. Zoom in and push the right panned audio clip a few ms foward. You can also choose to leave another channel in the middle untouched and just layer the sounds or even...

Re: best way to find the key of a tune (djing)

haha, yeh i do believe its more about the vibe than the actuall key, but if your mixing 2 simultaniously and u swap the low end over it sounds pretty shite m8. virtual dj would be easier but i have alot of vinyl id have to turn my back on. having trouble with all those chords travis? :rimshot:
