When my house is full of people or if its late at night, i use my headphones (KRK KNS-8400), then when i have the house to myself or its not very busy i mix on my monitors.

I would have to agree with the consensus, i find it helps with the overall vision of the track if you mix as you go, maybe not so much on the effects i tend to leave the majority of this 60% or so on the final completed Mix. Also its useful to identfiy problems in your mix, if you move one stage at ...
