Re: Creating wider, stronger, high energetic atmosphere?
Well too much stick and u can easily be making srebme breaks not dubstep, unless that is what u want then be sure to lock ur tempo at 145bpm.

Re: How to tell key, notes, etc.
And google can do miracles... u wouldnt believe what songs i found info for, so unless its some real hypster obscure shit u should find ur basic info on bpm and scale on there. If its an edm track, beatport and lots of others tell u that info. Or like others said... 99.9% of time the first note of u...

Re: Committing to a Tempo
Yeah Ember is all about stikkks! But dude if ur recording so much material for a song doesnt it make sense to commit to some bpm and play in it... i mean i dont think anyone goes and records tons of stuff unless they know at least some basic stuff about the tune they wanna make... i dont think u r e...

Re: Committing to a Tempo
i seriously dont see the problem... unless u r using premade loops of drums as ur main drums and dont even feel like chopping it up... or even worse premade bassline loops. Anything else can be worked around. As said u can chop drum loops and put them in a drum rack... place midi notes and voila... ...

Re: camelphat vs ohmicide
Idk why but out of those two i like ohmicide more. imo it sounds a bit better and has a lot more options to crush sound like i want to. I m surprised noone mention (or i maybe missed it) Kombinat from Audio Damage. I have the old version and although not as powerfull as ohmicide (but still pretty be...

Re: 20 minute to make 16bar dubstep beat
Its actually a 4 bar loop so why make just 16 bars out of it...just make 3 minutes long version, cause its easily the greatest 1.5 seconds of audio on the face of this planet regardless the messed levels, that are obviously the biggest problem this 1.5seconds of audio has. And f*** bass, its so over...

Re: Seeking Producers for Mainstream Songs
I don't consider my stuff 'mainstream' lol never miss a chance to par filthzilla but yeah, i think th whole reason they are being anonymous is so people dont see them embarasssing themselves posting on dsf asking for producers But why not register a sub label that wont be associated with ur main la...

Re: Seeking Producers for Mainstream Songs
I agree with some of the folks here. I cant see any reason other then scam in keeping your identity hidden... ok i can understand that u would make some doughter firm not to use your labels name to discredit it... but cmon, who makes business without giving any info bout them away. I mean imagine so...

Re: Seeking Producers for Mainstream Songs
Not to be too pesimistic, but i do understand all the negative responses about this post. Coming from the CG/Design industry i have seen a lot of similar propositions and they usually didnt end up well. And it all comes to how u present ur offer. If u r serious about it, then u r probably not affrai...

Re: Anyone else using Largo?
I used it a lot, but then there was some things bothering me just too much about it, like the fact that there were some pretty basic stuff that i couldnt modulatie like noise color... and after some testing i found that its lfos were kinda off, a sine lfo was not as smooth here then in some other sy...

Re: how do you guys start your tracks?
I usually start with some itch in my brain that wont go away unless i do something...heh just kidding. No, i start by creating a nice kick and snare... usually i ll just make some 4/4 boring pattern just so i have some hits. i also usually at least have some basic idea of what i want the track to so...
