Re: Few tunes up.
Only had time to listen to Lacrimosa & Lucky Thing. Very much enjoyed mate. Lacrimosa proper reminded me of some badass battle scene

Soundcloud
Posted up the 'finished' version. Although now I'm second guessing myself as to whether the bass is too heavy. Sounds fine on some speakers and then really muddy on others.

Re: Is anyone still making deep? [Medi NOT Dungeon]
I've been doing the more melodic stuff from the start I suppose; did try making 'dungeon' - didn't really work out so well. I'm pretty much still at the start but my (amateur) efforts are sticking to somewhat deeper stuff for now.
Think I'd rather toil away unknown than make robrostep.

Re: kambian - Tinariwen Dub (middle eastern / chilled)
Very minimal style of beats building into a nice bassy, well crafted beat. I like the small vocal chop and the guitar like chord reverb. I'm always wanting a backing pad of some sort. The guitar rhythm and vocal is almost like a kwela track. May I ask what it is in it's unprocessed state? Nice work...

Re: kambian - Tinariwen Dub (middle eastern / chilled)
You know what, after listening to it again, I actually take back what I said about it being anti-climactic - I really like it how it is - that percussion is sick. But I think the whole piece is being covered a bit by the bass, you should turn the bass down I still took it on board though mate. Deci...

Re: kambian - Tinariwen Dub (middle eastern / chilled)
Okay, I'll have a little fiddle about with some strings (see what I did there? sorry) and see if I can't add something complimentary. And as for anti-climatic. I can absolutely see where you're coming from, I seem to get that a fair bit with my tracks so definitely something I need to work on. Anywh...

Re: fiveyearwar - Gaddafi's Child (experimental / political)
Pretty cool track mate- wasn't sure about some of the sound effects that come in the second time that reverend is talking. Could maybe have done with something a bit heavier on the first drop like wub said.
I personally enjoyed the preacher.

Re: Xanja - Inna Di Place (Dubby/Melodic/GothTrad)
Yeh I enjoyed it too tbh. Could maybe do something with the arpeggiating melodic element to change it up a bit, but I wouldn't say that is essential.

Re: Scocco - Untitled [Dark/Spacy]
Dunno how much I can offer in the way of feedback mate - Enjoying the sort of tribal style percussion you got in there, that element sounds excellent. Is that a midnight request line sample I hear every so often? that sample also has a nice 'ring' to it also (heh, see what I did there? ) Not ...

Ah, this is on the day after I get back from Hideout. Looks like the perfect end to that week to me.
Emailed about maybe seeing if I can do the work thing as I'm skin flint - you know if there's still shifts available T_! ?
Just so I can pick up tix before its too late if not.

Yeah, can definitely see where you're coming from. Going to try and cut the length down a bit I think.
