Re: US dubstep more fun than UK dubstep
The dubstep/brostep thing in the US remind me the history of disco music: initially a very underground movement, mainly consisted of gay black men, italoamericans djs, portoricans, drug addicteds and social rejects - there still were huge racial bias and other social dynamics that is not easy to exp...

Re: Deep House/Techno Basslines
yeah, is the classic larry heard / chicago house style bass, very recurrent lately, especially after the crosstown rebels / hot creations / 100% silk hype i would say: 303 or minimoog emulation square + saturation + good tube plugin + filter with analogue style "drive" option (such as u-he...

Re: AKG 240's
and as far as the need for a pre-amp goes: wouldnt your audio interface work as an amp device for your headphones? yea I don't quite get that either. But my soundcard is also a hardware sampler with the ability to boost the internal dB levels so I don't think I need a pre-amp. Unless theres some ot...

Re: How to automate the pitch of vocals?
try DMG pitchfunk demo, it's a brand new toy, kinda an "ableton transpose" on stereoids... next level tool for vocal manipulation and pitchshifting madness!

Re: AKG 240's
i have them, they're good, very confortable and clean sounding, amazing in reverb and delays, but, yeah, not much sub bass, plusover you will need a preamp because of the impendance. I use a crappy cheap 19 euro behringer preamp, but is decent enough. I honestly prefer these headphones for listening...

Re: Just a thought.
i still don't get why people use that "bass music" tag while complaining for the brostep/dubstep thing :?: :) Bass Music was a pretty popular genre/scene in the second wave of electro, more specifically the less futuristic, more fun, party, ghetto stuff which was not produced in detroit no...
