Re: Ableton vs CDJ's [mixing]
Hi guys
I have noticed a lot of DJ's are moving towards the ableton live setup instead of using CDJS/turntables etc.
What do you prefer and why??
When you wrote this that was probably the case.

Re: Cutting off frequencies in ableton?
having this prob with Ableton as well.
just noticed last night that there's always like EXTRA LOW freqs coming out of live's master bus, no matter what instrument is playing. even just a hihat.
im talking like 12-15 Hz.
it eats up headroom.
The EQ8, even five of them stacked up in a row dont remove ...

Re: Deadmau5 has confused me
Joel (the mau5 man) uses Cubase.
It is always open.
AbletonLive is ReWired to it. Along with all those outboard synths.
Sections of music are recorded and rendered in Cubase,
then put into AbletonLive for mashing, and all the stuff Live is good at.

Re: autotuning samples
just out of curiousity, is there a big difference between the quality of pitch correction in Ableton Live's Complex Pro and Autotune or Melodyne?
yes, melodyne makes it sound perfect, abletons is still allright, though programs like auto tune and melodyne are miles better.
Am I missing ...

my rant/plead for help
well here's my rant...if you have a minute, or any knowledge that might help a fellow human, well, it would stop me from clawing the walls off.
my burning questions (and I mean they cause me actual pain):
- I come across mixes at soundcloud many times and the waveform looks like a solid BLOCK OF ...

Re: My First Dubstep Track. Feedback Please?
the waveform is a SOLID BLOCK and I've been trying to figure out for literally YEARS how that is achieved.
When I get even close to that my mixes sound horrible.

Multiple users can jam on the same document, and everything can be captured in the document's arrangement.
Just looked at some vids about this DAW and can't even explain how psyched I am to have it.
Mainly because of my years' of unanswered frustrations with Live.
