Re: Female singers in Dubstep
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJX1NXSlqaU Perfect example of what I mean by over using vocals. The beats good and her voice isn't even that bad, but I can't stand when someone sings over the entire beat. preferred structure of a tune with a singer is: intro(voice) > build(voice) > drop(no voice) >...

Re: What do you prefer to spin on?
Digital Dj is appealing to the younger people because they can just pirate their music and they think they can get better sounder quality by ripping it off youtube and converting to 320. Vinyl is a nice way to support the artists and you know your music sound quality is top of the line if mastered ...

Re: Music tastes before dubstep..
I listen to just about anything that I personally think has a good beat and sounds good. My initial music taste was stuff like, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Metallica etc. then I got into old school hip-hop biggie, tupac, mobb deep, shit like that and then i listened to older kor...

Rusko & Doctor P took some courses of whatever. I seen it in an interview of them. Didn't know Zomboy did also.....Seems like a lot of them actually took some sort of class...Dillon Francis had a producer friend teach him Ableton Live inside & out in 3 months...seen that in a interview also...

Re: Female singers in Dubstep
I don't know why but any dubstep with female vocals in it repulses me. like wiener that much eh? I'm kiddin. That surprises me though. That's one thing I can honestly say, I don't see how you couldn't like it, it goes perfectly with it and adds a new layer of inflection and tension as the bea...

Re: My girlfriend is awesome :D
Don't ya just love a girl with good taste? She should try to learn some shit on the violin. My girlfriend isn't a classical violinist, but I did pretty much the same thing to her and now she's obsessed with EDM!

She does have a really good voice Ketamine! I've never heard of Ben Sage either, but he's pretty good.

Female singers in Dubstep
In my opinion nothing sounds better and more sexy than a beautiful voice singing over a filthy tune. Perfect example, Belle Humble. For those of you that don't know, she's the voice from Freestylers "Cracks" and more recently 501's "Headrush". Absolutely perfect voice for dubstep...

Re: What do you prefer to spin on?
I use CDJ's mainly because they are what are available to me most of the time... im just used to them now... :( Nothin wrong with that. I've actually only had the option to work on digital setups so I really wanna get a good, but used pair of Pioneer 1000mk2's and like a used Numark M4 to start get...

What do you prefer to spin on?
It seems like since the explosion of Digital DJing there's been a lot of debate over whether if it's even "real" DJing or not. In my opinion, growing up in the era of digital DJing I'd have to say that I love it. I think it's added a whole new dimension to what can be done in the booth whi...
