Re: Tips, help, anything?
U make some sick sounds for a 14 year old. Only tip I have for you is to switch to a new synth. Maybe try learning fm8. To be honest I don't really think we can help you that much. If you really have writers block just learn a new synth and my suggestion would be fm8

Re: really struggling to make new kinds of basses
Oh yeah in effects add a reverb and play around with the settings. This will give the bass a more wonky feeling

Re: really struggling to make new kinds of basses
Okay if you want the sound that i use in my sig here is the lay out on fm8 Send B,D and F directly to ur output. Send A to B, C to D and E to F. Level for all 40 Send 30 from B to itself (so dragging the empty box just above B in the FM matrix) To the same for D and F Next pan D all the way to the l...

Re: really struggling to make new kinds of basses
I had the same problem in massive, when I switched to fm8 a couple of days ago my sound quality improved big time. And the weird part is I don't really use that much sines. I always have a subbass that is a sine but other than that its just experimenting. Like in my latest tune: Operator F - Formant...

Re: Pegboard Nerds bass?
the one before the growl sounds detuned, maybe play around with some detuning
the growl itself is not that hard but i think its done with fm8 or another freq modulator

Re: Are you happy with your music?
I think everyone is happy with their music no matter how much talent you have. I remember my very first track who really sucked big time but I was goddamn proud of them. Couldn't stop listening to them and to this day I still play my newest tune like 50 times a day. But my biggest happiness comes fr...

Re: The Production Achievements thread
Been blogged on a french blog promoting bass music! Didn't give me much new listeners but still pretty proud of it. Was posted on some youtube channels but they all stopped eventually cause there are too much channels doing the same. Been asked to mix on a local radio show but didn't happen because ...

Re: WIP Thread - GIVE FEEDBACK TO OTHERS BEFORE POSTING!!!
@dial_back Feedback for you my man Love the tune but the stabby thing playing troughout the first drop annoyed me after a while. Ur basslines sound nice but my advice would be to add some power. They sound very dull after a while. Some reverb or distortion will definitly bring some power in there. H...

Re: Keelay - Chemistry(Breaking Bad Dubstep)
Yeah I heard the deeper basses further in to the track. They sound nice but the thing is. Ur intro starts dark and nasty so I was preparing for some grittt dark basslines. But then the drop came and it just sounded too happy and had a total differenr atmosphere then the intro. That just sounded a bi...

Re: Keelay - Chemistry(Breaking Bad Dubstep)
drop doesn't fit in with the intro. I expected some deep dark shit but it was more energetic and uplifting. Do like the basses tho. Maybe try adding a subtle arp in the intro for that more energetic feel?

Re: New User, A few tunes.
Welcome man First things first, if you really serious about making some dubstep. Lose the preset samples man. I can name them by hearing your track easily. Vengeance Dubstep right? Yeah they sound dope and are frigging handy because they are premade but the truth is they just aren't that original an...

Re: WIP Thread - GIVE FEEDBACK TO OTHERS BEFORE POSTING!!!
@GregoryTJ I love the intro, has that grimey snap to it. But when the drop comes It goes downhill for me, I don't like the high cowbell thingy and the whole part just doesn't seem to connect with the dope ass intro imho. But hey the mixing sounds dope. Just not my cup of tea @Alexander cunninghams T...
