Re: Any good places to study music?

Thank you guys! Wow the circle of fifths is kind of a doosy. Going to take awhile to figure it out. I'm guessing some sort of music theory would help lol. Yea I'm trying to attend dubspot. Orr attend fullsail for production. In the meantime was looking for something close to an alternative. A higher...

Re: Tight sub bass

Aight so first off if you have headphones that aren't monitors (even a lot of monitors apply) you won't feel the sub because the headphones don't have the air for one or the power to move vibration like a speaker and thats all a sub is with a tone attatched. If not than try this: Throw a simple sine...

Re: Any good places to study music?

From what i've found, advanced stuff is rare. If you're looking for someone who can teach you how to make a noisia bass, think again. A music production place like point blank could give you a good foundation, but you'd still need to find your own sound. Best thing to do is just keep practising, wa...

Any good places to study music?

I've watched countless videos but I have been trying to find a site that also goes into detail on techniques and everything through reading and all. Any good sites out there to read and study more or maybe a site that covers music in detail through videos as well? Anything helps. Thanks guys! PS. Ad...

Help with beats and timing.

So I've been running into the same problem over and over again. My first question is, how do you all go about designing your drums and what are some different ways that can be placed for a nice non syncopated sound? Alright second Q: How do you guys go about changing up the drums to break the repeti...

Re: usb monitors

I got my powered monitors (M-Audio AV40's) They are pretty good. There is ways to test accuracy, if you have a mic and some time to do research it isn't too hard. Anyways I got mine for $110.

Wow. I've never heard of something like that. Mine are powered through a power cord and just plug in directly with a headphone plug and component cables.

Re: usb monitors

They are average sized, and yeah they're not passive monitors. Ones got the amp in it and that one doesn't get just warm. Wierd thing is I'll turn the off for maybe an hour and let em cool down and I come back and their still warm. Then with the volume 1/4 the way up withing 10 minutes their a fryin...

Re: usb monitors

Agreed^ I just assumed that they may be his first pair of moniters so I suggested getting AV40's since they are compact, amazing quality for the price, and not "USB Powered". lol that was my biggest issue, the usb part. By saying usb moniters you did mean like usb powered correct? Quick qu...
