Thanks man, much appreciated. This track is obviously not mastered, so don't let the loudness (quietness) put you off.

Can anyone offer any other feedback? :)

Lightyears - Thousand Giants (Future/140)

Hey guys :t:

Here's a piece of chill out/future ish that I finished up today. I wanted to make a track about Aliens and shit, and this is what it turned out like

Hope you all enjoy it, let me know what you think.

Re: Feedback For Firepower Submission?

This is really good man. I love this. Not sure if it's quite Firepower style, but I love the vocal chops and the cute sounds before the drop.

A couple of the basses in the drop could benefit from some EQ separation or some reverb space but that's me being SUPER picky.

Best of luck to you, sir :Q:

Re: Kannamix Ft. Veela - Cerulean (Thricton Remix) [Seven Li

Yeah, I do agree with the dudes above me. Everything is being pushed so hard it's difficult to hear the elements to give you any real feedback. The ideas are nice, but remember loud doesn't mean good. The track gets destroyed by the grating on the limiter. This means the track has lost life because ...

Re: Do you think NI's Massive is worth it's rep?

Massive is my favourite synth for sure. It is a workhorse, and as someone said above, people do use it to make shitty sounds. You can make anything sound shitty though, so that's not a fair judgement in my opinion. I love the depth and space you can create in it, and the up front in your face sounds...

Re: Banesy - Feel'n Ft Aiva

Some very good ideas being thrown down here. The basses in the drop are really cool. That sort of down pitching chorusy bass is something I've been trying to make for a while. The chords in the intro did get a tad stale over the course of the song, and would have liked to hear some different chords ...

Re: Obsologic - Aliens (140)

Props for the artwork on SoundCloud first of all  The phrasing and sound design in the drop is so good. Resonance and rhythm of that midrange is fun but crushing. I would like to hear those guitar parts just after the drop a bit higher in the mix, it feels quite empty with them that low. The in...

105bpm in 3/4 with the kick on beat 1.5(?) I believe is the same as 140bpm in 3/4 with kick on 1 snare on 3.

May or may not have completely made up the math there... :6:

Just to chip in my 0.02p. I know I don't post much, but I love this forum. Even when I'm not vibing off of music, I enjoy reading the posts. I usually browse through at work, therefore I'm not able to go into the Feedback threads and listen and post feedback. I'm sure there are a few of you bros who...

Re: bass samples how to give it more sub ?

Grab a Spectrum Analyser and put it on the track w/ the bass sample, find peak frequency of said sample and it should give you the note the frequency corresponds to (E1, F0, A#1, etc). Create a new MIDI track and pop your clean sine sub in there, and create a MIDI pattern to reflect note played by t...

Re: What can i add to a saw wave to give it some umph?

Two saw waves detuned, a subtle bit of white noise, distortion/overdrive, then high pass at about 125-150Hz and EQ a small amount of mids out (around 400-750Hz) and add a sub layer under it.

Mine has to be a b-e-a-utiful pair of Adam A77X and some monitor stands.

I've also got major GAS for a small Analogue synth (Sub Phatty/MiniBrute) and Komplete 9.

This is really good man! It's nice to hear some 140 stuff with a really good snare. It sings through the mix, awesome job. Synths sound nice and powerful and everything is really tight.

So Far Out - Thousand Giants [174bpm Future Funk]

Hello! Here's another song that I wrote a month or so ago and I'm really proud of it. The genre is bizarre I guess, and it's inspired mostly by guys like Kill Paris. I've seen him use fast tempos with a half time feel and I thought I would give it a go. Let me know what you think. I'm very much open...

Illuminations - Thousand Giants [100bpm Future Funk-ish]

Hey guys, Not sure on the genre, so have a listen and you can decide :) It's a kind of funked up, electro-ish track that I made whilst I was off work with a slipped disc. I'm really proud with the track, it was one of those songs that really made me 'feel' whilst I was making it, so I guess it's pre...
