Bouncing To Master in Logic
So I've heard about the process of bouncing your track out of Logic and importing it back into Logic to mix and master it. Exactly what do you do once the track has been bounced and imported back into logic? (I don't have the full version with the mix/master studio). edit: I see the MoneyShot thread...

Re: Starting a new Track
Yeah I find it easier to mess around with some synth layering and then add the drums to that. THEN, it all comes together from there.....

Re: Starting a new Track
Here's what I've come up with. It's a very basic structure that I'm going to follow and go with.... The drum's will come in about 3/4 of the way through the song when the melody starts/changes. I'll add some stuff here and there throughout the intro.... http://soundcloud.com/jghuffman/secondtrackbra...

Starting a new Track
I'm sitting here trying to start a new song but I am completely blank on how to start or what to write! It's quite frustrating. Where should I begin? I usually start with drums but I want some sort of buildup intro then get into the actual gritty sound.....Any advice??

Recording in MIDI or AUDIO?
I was wondering what the pros/cons are of recording entire songs in MIDI?...or Audio. I currently am recording everything in MIDI using my my Akai MPK25. I know how to convert to audio strips, but what would be the purpose of doing that? In producing dubstep, there is a lot of "Cutting and Spli...

Indie Clothing

Re: best overall drum kit sample pack(s)
Almighty Alias-----I would recommend ToonTrack Superior Drummer 2.0 , it's exactly what you are looking for. It's not free. Don't cheap out. You get what you pay for. Superior drummer was produced by 3 men in NY- two drummers and a producer I believe. They recorded in a live (full) studio so you hav...

plus, if you're doing this because you want to be "that cool guy at the decks", then you need to re-assess yourself.

Re: What is your sound design process?
I rarely sound design while writing a song. I have sound design sessions separate from my writing sessions (because spending too much time tweaking a knob can kill the inspiration) that generate me a lot of patches or ableton instrument racks to use later. Then, during writing sessions, I just load...

Re: Making an album
The way I think about it is this. Get your setup. Use your DAW. Make your music. End of story. Oh, and have FUN! Things will evolve with that sound as you keep learning and evolve as an electronic music producer. You just have to have the passion, the ear, and the musicianship to understand what wil...
