Re: Logic for Production?

Use whatever you're comfy with. I use Ableton Suite and I love it so much! It's just a fun DAW, it makes production fun. I started with FL, moved to Reason, and then stuck with Ableton in the end, I occasionally use Ableton rewired with Reason.. just because Reason has amazing soft synths!

Re: Help With Ableton Workflow

I love Ableton's interface, a lot of people find it confusing and difficult to get into but I absolutely love it! Just go with what fits you best man!

@ Dankstep -Work on levels, a bit, but overall nice track I like where you're going! @ InTheCrowd - Nice vibe, perc, just very dark to me, but it sounds a bit dead.. you have a lot of frequencies left to use up! :P @ jetpack - Everything is nice just one thing that bothers me are the stabs, they don...

WT Position, LFO, Filter cutoff, res, pitch, w/e etc, vibrato, and just basically anything to give variation and that sounds nice!

Re: Need help with mixing together a punchy kick and heavy b

Find good samples first.. I usually LP filter my kicks off at about 70 but sometimes I'll cut it off at 85-95 (I'm weird, but it sounds nice.) Then I LP cutoff my sub at 60 hz.. My fx chain for my kick usually is EQ, Filter, SLIGHT, very slight reverb, little satuation, and I may take off some of th...

Re: Mixing as you go Bad Tip #1

When I finish a tune.. I wait an hour or til the next day, depending on time and such and that's when I do the mix down, give my ears a rest, and ya know. :)

Just was doing experimental sound in Massive and stumbled upon a mid range bass.. and It really caught my ear. :P I'm lacking variation but that's because I was in a hurry for a decent release man! Big ups tho man! Working on a new ba...
