Re: Koan Sound/Kill The Noise HELPPPP

The vowel on that just doesn't come through clear enough to me but I feel like you're on the right track. Simple is better

Re: The Bass Thread

one tip I've got is throw a delay on the synth in full wet and just a few milliseconds of delay. I normally use H-Delay and have it in ping pong mode. It can give very robotic characteristics

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread

Decided to put the simple Triangle ---> Formant growl in context. This growl is similar although the triangle is being modulated by a ramp wave. This seems to morph the formant, which is exactly what i'm aiming for. However, it makes the sound a bit hard to work with. This is really great. I've bee...

Towards the end of the chain eq out low and high frequencies, make a subtle roll off from 700-800 as your low and ...

FM8 Question..

I was wondering if it was possible to draw in your own harmonics on the waveforms in each operator, like in the Ableton synth, Operator? Thanks

Re: Skrillex reveals details on how he makes his basslines

Hey guys, I barely come on this forum, but after reading through most of this thread (lots of great ideas) I thought I would make and share this little video. It's more of a suggestion then anything, at how simple a formant type of bass sound can be, hopefully it gives you some ideas. http://www.yo...
