Gabriel Miller - Northern Lights (Eddy Pfeil Remix)
Entered this in a remix contest, the prize: winner gets signed to music label in Sweden. Well anyways, I spent A LOT of time on the mastering this time around, so tell me what you think cuz I tried to get this one really loud without losing too much musicality. Enjoy, feedback greatly appreciated :)...

First Remix, Feedback for Future Reference
So I made my first remix by taking the advice of ehbrums who said to keep the "hook" of the track (usually the main melody) and then work from there. I think I did that quite well, but any other suggestions on making better remixes plus feedback on the track itself would be appreciated as ...

Not necessarily, I'm asking on advice for remixing, not asking for feedback on my song in general, i thought it would fit hereSkrew wrote:Tl;dr

Nico Cipriano - Feel Like Dancin' (Eddy Pfeil Remix)
I think this has a good shot at winning the progressive house remix contest I just entered at findremix.com, only problem is I entered it 15 minutes after the deadline so I don't know if they'll accept it :( This is definitely my best track yet as I was not limited by my old ass computer; now i've g...

Re: Merry Christmas, 615 free (and royalty free) Cymbal Samp
Thanks for the samples but Classical you need to work on your Blog's layout and design, I honestly can't read it. Remove the tiled background image and structure you're paragraphs differently so you don't have a huge page of unbroken text then I'm sure you will get more people reading what you have...

Re: Merry Christmas, 615 free (and royalty free) Cymbal Samp
Doesn't work for me if i select all and try to download... You have to download each folder individually. As I said if you actually read the thread the guy told me not to rar the whole thing. Just so you know I'm not just rambling on in the post, and even if you think I am the link is at the bottom...

Advice for Remix Competitions?
I am entering an instrumental remix competition from findremix.com (genre: Progressive House). Just wondering if any of you guys have experience with remix competitions, because I really don't know what a good remix consists of since I have only made original music. Just want to know some answers to...

Could someone tell me how to do this in FL Studio?hasezwei wrote:or you could still use one sampler for all the drums and route them to multiple output channels, that way you have only 1 midi file for the drums.

Re: Separate Channels for each Drum Sound or Drum Sampler?
Thanks man. I use A LOT of different drums for sort of ambient noise (bongos, clicks, hihats, etc.) so I wasn't sure. Then I lay down a steady beat with the kick and snare (each on their own channel)

Separate Channels for each Drum Sound or Drum Sampler?
Do you guys usually have separate channels for every drum, so you can automate each better, add better effects, etc. or do you just leave them in a sampler such as NI battery or Poise and play them via the piano roll. Just wondering, because i recently made a song in which i had multiple different s...

Re: Why WAV mastering?
Its not noticeable to the ear, but mp3's don't retain all of the wave metadata (fancy word for waves you see from raw audio in a DAW, such as on the playlist in FL Studio). Wav.'s retain all data, thus bigger file size.

Re: Good sample packs?
I use a bunch of zenhiser packs; techno, psytrance, dubstep, fx ( all drum one-shots, I delete the loops) also I found some guy who sampled about 40 different cymbals, all real high-quality recordings, about 1000 one-hits all free. The psytrance zenhiser pack has a bunch of ethnic drums (bongos, con...
