Re: M-Audio Trigger Finger with Traktor?

Just get an akai mpd. Not really worth it to hunt down a discontinued product. Sorry I don't know much about traktor but your idea sounds cool.

Re: playing gigs

Its probably better to invest in a better controller. Traktor kontrol s2 is sturdy and it comes with traktor pro 2. It won't look good if you are using the cheapest controller possible.

Re: What made you want to produce/make music?

Listened to hardstyle and house mostly. Thought it would be easy and cool. I got confused as shit with all the software possibilities and such so i quit. Got live intro cause I was bored and had money and watched all the tuts i could and read a lot for like 4 months before I even attempted to make a...

Re: I can't take this anymore!!!

Downloading other peoples presets is lame. The best way to learn synthesis is to fuck around. Watch a bunch of massive tuts on how to make bro sounds. And after you watch about 30 or so you should know how to use massive. You should also have figured out that you can create these sounds using like l...

Re: Random Production Tips Thread™

Hey so lately I start tracks and work on them for like half a day and they get completely changed multiple times and then I realise I just want to keep changing it and my original idea is completely lost and start a new project. Any tips on how to get around this?

Re: Recording Streaming Audio

Windows 7 Home OS. Ya nothing is hidden and everything seems to be turned on in the properties. switching from the stereo mix to the line in presonus doesn't seem to do anything.

Recording Streaming Audio

So I have been trying to sample off youtube with audacity and I also tried a couple other audio recorders but It doesn't record anything. I have it set to stereo mix, and i tried all the other options to. I have a presonus audiobox usb interface and that goes to my monitors. On the windows sound con...

Rockas - Warm Day [Minimal]

Im practicing making tunes really fast, and its going all right. It's only pads, drums, and bass but I like it and its hard for me to add more than that in a short amount of time. I'm also trying to work on my 2 step beats. So I would really like to know what you guys like and dislike about this and...

Re: Sausage Fattener, usage in your chain

If i feel like a bass or a kick, or sometimes a snare needs something after its been eqed to just make it sound a little more present i just throw sausage fattner on raise both knobs by %10 or less and call it good and forget about it.

Ok I got another one. So when my tune ends after the last clip in arrangment view there is still a delay from the pad but when I export it that last little delay is gone. Fix? Thanks lol.

Rockas - Awake [Deep, Minimal]

Result of listening to Burial all day. My first deep tune. It's really simple and maybe too repetitive for some but I kept it short. I would really appreciate some feedback on what i can add and improve on, and how my drums came out. Also first tune I have ever done a 2 step, garage, kinda beat. Tha...

Re: The Ableton Q&A Thread

All that does though is raise the amount the velocity effects the sample with the cutoff. I want to change the cutoff per sample with the velocity in the piano roll. I'm not sure if its possible but thats what i'm looking for.

Re: Eq and mastering

Its all in the mixdown. Find what is making everything unclear and use eq to make it sit together better. I have a spectrum analyzer on every track and I eq the individual instruments to sit together so they don't fight each other. If you are mastering yourself all you should have to do is put a lim...

Hey can someone tell me how to make the velocity in drum rack link to a low pass filter cutoff instead of just changing the volume. Thanks!
