Re: WIP Thread - GIVE FEEDBACK TO OTHERS BEFORE POSTING!!!
@LJK32 I couldn't really hear the kick, besides that it's quite short for me to form an opinion on, but it sounds like it could be the beginning of a nice track Thanks for the feedback. But yeah, that's why I said "I know the kick is quite far back in the mix". I was more just looking to ...

Re: WIP Thread - GIVE FEEDBACK TO OTHERS BEFORE POSTING!!!
@Houston Weather, I do agree with Ocelots about the percussion being a bit too overpowering, however I'd personally only lower them a little since I like the dominance they have - I guess it's a subjective thing. I personally think your kick lacks a little punch and does not cut through the mix as w...

Re: Dem commercial sounding synths
Surprised you're struggling Rmonik, your shit is huge. Then again, I can see how doing something you're not used would be difficult and I'm coming to understand that now with the sample comp.

Re: Freemasons - Love On My Mind(Remix)
Wow dude, thanks so much! I can't believe it's wub approved haha. And tbh, I haven't heard the original, nor did I have any idea what genre my Remix was, I just liked the sound of it. Just stoked that I've finally finished something.

Re: WIP Thread - GIVE FEEDBACK TO OTHERS BEFORE POSTING!!!
I don't really know which synth you are talking about. There's only the chorded pluck really. Wait, you may be talking about the track in my sig and not the one I posted.

Freemasons - Love On My Mind(Remix)
So this is the first track I've ever finished. I know it's not a good thing to do, but I did kind of rush the track at the end out of desperation to get it finished, and because I was sick of never finishing stuff. The mixdown was also pretty rushed - again, not a good thing to do. I feel kind of la...

Re: Sample pack contest 38...roll call
Can you use external audio stretching programs? Also, wub, would you be allowed to use stuff like FL's Granulizer, or add the samples into a sampler, then use all it's envelopes and LFO's for cutoff, pitch, etc?

Re: WIP Thread - GIVE FEEDBACK TO OTHERS BEFORE POSTING!!!
@cmgoodman1226, this is absolutely amazing, the percussion sits nicely, the vocal one shots work well, the sub bass is just ridiculously awesome, and all the background atmosphere gives you shivers. There is literally only one thing I don't like in this track - the sound at about 2:03, where the tra...

Re: WIP Thread - GIVE FEEDBACK TO OTHERS BEFORE POSTING!!!
@Fbac, I usually don't like the deeper sort of stuff, but that reese is just awesome, big ups on that. All I can say is that I think the kick needs work, I feel it lacks punch for the style of track, especially next to a reese like that. @Turnipish Thoughts, you are definitely right, the sound desig...

Re: Passive Listening
Yeah man, the way you listen to music when you're producing is so much different to just casual listening(well, for me at least). I actually find that I'm more aware of bad sounding stuff and errors when I'm not focusing the way I would be when producing.

Yeah, I just wish a few more things would actually turn out good like I thought they sounded. But, I guess that 1% will have to do haha.

I gotta try to start doing that, I do tend to replay stuff a lot, and that is what gets me used to it. Cheers for the replies guys.

Passive Listening
I'm not sure if it makes sense or not, but because of the fact that I'm more kind of focused on working on stuff, I can't properly get an idea of what it sounds like. Like, every time I make something, I think it sounds pretty damn cool at the time, then later it sounds random or like rubbish. And t...

Re: Might as well post this - How would you guys do it?
Hmm, syncing this is really, really difficult. I mean, getting the starting section on time is so hard, cause it isn't the same as when the drums come in. It's easy to sync it up with the drums, cause it's a consistent beat, but I don't the start matches, it does something strange and I can't get it...
