Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread
Way to take negative feedback dude. Seriously... if that's how you react to mild criticism such as the stuff posted above, just... lol, you sound childish as hell. To be honest I kinda expected that sort of reaction and though twice about posting, it's happened before on this forum, a lot of people...

Just wanted to share something else I created today too, sounds pretty unique and cool: https://soundcloud.com/user959681656/koanlol That songs pretty mint dude, loving the groove. And I love that snare... Mind if I ask where you got it? Or if you made it where some of the samples might have come f...

Re: Xilent Flutter Sound
Make a bass sound that pitches up and hen put your favourite gate on it (dblue glitch, gross beat, your own) and fiddle with thesettings until you get something you like.

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread
Hello everyone, I'm a software developer looking to develop a plugin to make this particular synthesis process easier. It seems like there are several different methods which have worked for people but what I want to know is which method do you all think is the most sustainable? That is, which meth...

Re: How to make this Sound December 2012
Does anyone know how to get something like the synth in the intro of this song?: (It's in the whole song but alone in the intro)
Is it some sort of backwards violin put through a granulizer or something? I have now where to start haha thanks in advance.

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread
I realize my bass had no bass or low end, I made the FLP in like 10 mins and didn't feel like adding a sub bass and automating a filter over it to fit with the growl, plus there's a high-pass being automated on the growl so it loses all it's low end there. Also here's the FLP link: http://www.mediaf...

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread
I was thinking more along the lines of reptile, there's a growl at the end that sounds very similar to the one you pointed out in his track. If you made it yourself then thats cool but with the amount of people sampling him these days it's hard to pick anymore..... I made that exact bass you're tal...

Need Halp With Bass Pls - Space Laces
So I would post this in the 'How To Make This Sound' thread but I'd rather not bump it. Anyways, I'm looking for help on a particular sound made by an artist called 'Space Laces', as you can probably hear from a lot of his tunes he is very good at what he does and takes a lot of time to finish a son...

Re: Can't believe I'm asking this: Is Sytrus better than FM
In Sytrus you can use ANY single cycle waveform, you can just throw it onto one of the operators and it works perfectly. On top of that you can manually edit the harmonics of the waveform inside of Sytrus, none of this you can do in FM8. You can get close to changing harmonics by modulating another ...

@Sechah First of all it's not ktn recreation! It differs pretty much a lot from ktn's one. Second k, do you use fl studio? Yea I use FL, and I just said the KTN growl because you used his bass line as reference haha. Anyways, shoot me a PM if you want to show me that way or whatever! Thanks! :W:

Are you thinking of rewriting or re-explaining this whole bible you made?
I would love to read more, as long as it isn't tediously long hours of typing and such. (Which I assume it is haha)

Re: How do you get that ambient emotional synth sound?
I believe you may be going for something like this (?): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4nEF-7-HOA It's usually supersaws with an incredible square type lead over top. For the 'bipolar sound', I don't think you can achieve that through a synth, it's more the chord progression and the melody; that's ...

I don't know why I've neglected to post this... Anyways, here's a tune I did a little while back; http://soundcloud.com/sechah/sechah-euphoria-original-mix Drops near 1:30-ish and it contains a pretty nice growl I made. I made it in Rob Papen's blue, solely because of the cool waveform choices it gi...

Popular Vocal Reverb (?) Effect
Hey guys, I've looked all over and can't find a thread/tutorial on this. So here I am, asking you guys for guidance. So the effect I'm looking for is a "looped" reverb type effect used in a number of tunes. An example; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9W04IKR1E2M Link to the part directly: h...

OK. http://soundcloud.com/pitches_and_hoes/crappy-monsters_more-eq-is-all I could have spend a lot more time tweaking the cutoff points and shit like that and it would sound even closer. But I think you can tell that thats the method. Lol owned, pretty much just made SMANS from a half assed request...

Wow, you got it. This is the closest I've seen anyone get to it.
Mind making a tutorial? I want to see the synth and the formants you used.
