Re: Time to get gassed about Deep Medi//RC1 [Bristol 27 Feb]
Got my ticket this morning! Luckily, as it sold out in about 15 mins. First time seeing anyone on the bill. Can't wait for Mala, Kahn and Kaiju especially.
Anyone else here headed? Wouldn't mind getting a beer and having a swedge induced chat about our favourite multiband compressors and the like..

Re: Removing automapping in Massive
What DAW are you using? I'm pretty sure most will let you assign each parameter to any knob, fader or button on an external controller. If you're using FL Studio then click the chevron in the top left of Massive's window and then 'browse parameters'. A list of all the tweakable parameters will appea...

Re: Post Your Random Thoughts: for the production heads
Thanks for advice guys, I think I get obsessed to things a bit. Maybe I shouldn't listen to any music for a month or something too, so I wouldn't remember how a good sounding track (by my standards) sounds like... I used to get a bit discouraged listening to established producers work, but you real...

Re: studio headphones
Went for the Focal Spirit Pro's in the end and have been really impressed with them. Haven't used any other studio quality headphones so I have no real point of reference. However, I have been noticing wee things in tracks I've listened to countless times before but never picked up. Also when I've b...

Re: Creating eerie atmosphere's
Anyone know what instruments I should be using if I want to make some of the deep evolving pads like heard in this tune? https://soundcloud.com/jonjenkins/grand-collision?in=jonjenkins/sets/selections-from-treasure There's so much warmth and tonal quality, so many layers.. I don't know where to start!

Guest - Tyrone (Neo soul/66 bpm)
Managed to make this in about 8 hours after stressing over another tune for weeks. Using the acapella of Erykah Badu's 'Tyrone'. First time I've finished something non dubstep so interested to hear what anyone thinks. Happy New Year

Re: Guest - The Flood (Deep)
Cheers guys. I agree it's a little boring in places and maybe moves too slowly, I kinda struggle for ideas with what new elements to introduce. Where could you see it going? Nice one for feeling the drums, they aint loops

First tune I've finished in about 3 months. Deep track at 137 I made as the result of a break up. It's funny what inspires you to create. Any feedback is welcome. Also if anyone has any tips on song structuring, send them this way

Re: Creative Sub Bass Processing
Can anyone help me in splitting my bass into low and mid and processing them seperate in FL11? I've tried setting up sends before but they seem to still affect the source as well as the send.

Re: studio headphones
Cheers for the shout. Hadn't come across these previously, could only find one bad review and I reckon they were just being fussy. Have ordered a pair and will let you all (anyone else buying headphones) know how I find them.

Re: studio headphones
Sorry to bump an old thread but it saves making a new one to ask virtually the same question. Looking to buy a pair of studio monitoring headphones. Have narrowed it down to Sennheiser HD650's, Beyerdynamic DT880's or Audio-Technica ATH-M50. Thought I would ask here before making an investment as yo...

Every bass sound in this is a reese of some sort :) Feel free to ask questions if you dig it https://soundcloud.com/eightyseven/untitled-original-mix?in=eightyseven/sets/tunes Hey mate, love the sounds at the start (and midpoint) of each bar. Could you point me in the direction of how to get there?...

Posted this in the Growl thread but it seems to mainly be brostep and couldn't get much help. Does anyone know how the "growls" in this were made? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JRPbrFHUFo Think these actually might be some of the best I've ever heard, am pretty mesmerised by them. All i ...

Audio sounds different in Edison (FL Studio)
Just a quick question hoping someone can help. When I'm making a snare I will use several layers, once i'm happy with the balance of each layer I'll record into Edison so I can drag it back in as one sample and start processing. The problem however, is once I've dragged over from Edison back into th...
