Re: help resampling bass like zomboy
He doesn't resample as far as i know of :) I remember back in Feb. 2013 he said he does not resample. Most of his sounds are out of Massive. Fucking right. If you want to spend 15 extra hours you can try to make it in massive. Its called FM synthesis. You'll have more control over sounds like this....

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread
General question for those of you with some sampling experience... Let's say I have a decent bass with some frequencies scattered throughout the spectrum. I route this bass from my synth generator to a bus that splits the frequencies low, mid, and high using a multiband compressor on three separate...

Re: Off beat "Whoop"
since 39 people don't want to say shit I guess I'll jump in. I think you might be referring to that white noise sound? Least that's what I think when I hear it. Or it could be an extremely chorus'ed synth with the volume down lower some white noise and a control knob attached to the pitch. Try mayb...

Off beat "Whoop"
So I've been making glitch hop lately (I know this is DSF :P) and I've been having trouble making a good whoop to go on the off beat to give it a more jumpy feel. In Zomboy's Braindead (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bOy9m_OBTE after 1:27(the breakdown)) you can hear a *faint* whoop on the off beat...

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread
Hehe =D ok! Bye then i guess. Its been a fun ride fellow dsfers. :) So a couple people say that you're normally not one to share, and you prove them right by not doing what you said you would? Not trying to be rude but I think that's exactly the kind of thing they were talking about. Regardless, I ...

I'm guessing it's massive (just not really sure which WT). Virtual riot actually has a youtube channel where he explains some of his sounds in detail.
Good luck

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread
Like this? Added two more wavetables and switch to performer instead of using envelopes before. Then added some weird reverb shit and got it really loud and spacious. Now to resample it. https://soundcloud.com/r3b_official/datsik-improve-next-to That's pretty neat. I'd turn it into a wobble and giv...

Re: Drop Bass from Gun Finga - Eptic?
https://soundcloud.com/metiri-dubstep/eptic-gun-finga-metiri-remake the gist is what was said above. a formant with a scream filter. my patch is unnecessarily complex, but thats pretty much the main idea. That remake is fucking SPOT ON! Fantastic job man. And thanks for sharing some of the sounds. ...

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread
Messed with the disto wavetable in massive and added ringmod, phaser, and the fx phaser to the sound with unison up to 8 got this very slight but noticable Datsik growl wobble from his earlier stuff. Then the daft filter got the movement just right, now if i resampled it a shit ton and mess around m...

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread
So for this sample pack we included a bunch of sounds from static hero, including some soloed growl. Its a whole bunch of random shit but all of it comes from our songs and we have used every one of the samples because i was so tired of getting sample packs with sounds that i never heard the artist...

Massive - not sure which WT but really any will work, and then add lots of phase to it and then some insterts/ then some distortion effects.

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread
Awesome, dude! How old are you now btw, if you've been making growls since you were 12? I am 15, 16 soon on december the 3rd so I've spent at least 3 years messing on with sound design and stuff haha. I remember when SMANS was first released and I was amazed by the cool bass haha thats what started...

Ableton Vocoder Discussion (mainly FM/ Growl Bass modulator)
So I just wanted to talk to/ get everyone's thoughts or opinions on the Ableton Vocoder. To start, I think it's amazing when used properly, but is kinda iffy to get right. I've tried a number of different voice clips and basses, none of which have worked out too well, Sometimes I get a good one but ...

Re: AMAZING BASSES LIKE AU5, Zomboy
In all honestly it would take so many hours for someone to tell you how to do the bass start to finish (and explain it). There is tons and tons of resources on this forum to help you with this. You want to know how to make sick growl basses? Spend a few days and read all of the mega threads like the...

Re: Super Crazy Protohype/Kezwik Arrangments
I would recommend getting all the sounds you want to use ready, then you have a couple options. Either re sampling them and just slicing them and changing parts around, duplicating certain things, you can also try reversing them. Or make a bunch of different short phrases you like with each sound. I...
