@Budspencertron
I'd actually like to see this at 174 bpm. I think that'll give it more of a lively feel, as it feels like it's dragging right now. But yeah, it definitely has that monstrous feel johnkimble mentioned.
@Bearclaw
Your drums sound a bit too acoustic for my taste. Not sure if that was ...

Re: WIP Thread - GIVE FEEDBACK TO OTHERS BEFORE POSTING!!!
@SMOR3S I really really really love your lowpass automation in the first bit, makes it move really nicely and keeps it interesting. The vocals are definitely well mixed imo, sidechained just enough to let everything else poke through. Again, great job with the automation during the bridge. The ...

@JTreezy - I'm liking what you have so far, but I'd add in some high end freq's, it seems a bit empty on that end. Other than that, it's a well produced track, not exactly the style I listen to but it's solid.

Re: a couple noobish questions about fl studio
I can help with 2, I've gotten into the habit of giving each sound its own mixer channel, and then sending those to four different send channels for drums, basses, sub bass, and other. that way, you can tailor each sound according to its own needs, and still be able to affect groups of similar ...

Re: Nexus vs. Komplete 8
Fuck both, get Dubturbo.
Funny story, I just heard of a kid at my school who bought Dubturbo because he "wants to just make big drops". I lol'd.
Just to be annoying, I would advise you look at Camel Audio Alchemy :) One of the most equipped synths out there, an equally accomplished sampler ...

Nexus vs. Komplete 8
So with Black Friday coming up, I've got a bit of cash for some much-needed plugins. I've done a bit of research on both Komplete 8 and Nexus, and both seem to be extremely versatile and capable of many great things. Keeping in mind that the price difference won't really be a factor (Nexus will ...

Dub Mix vs. Instrumental?
So this has been bothering me for a while now...what exactly is the difference between a "dub mix" and an "instrumental mix"? I've seen tracks marketed as both, but usually they're just purely the original mix without vocals. Just wanted to know if there were clear cut definitions for these.

Re: Kibb - Some WIP [sorta melodic, but still kinda filthy]
Thanks man. I'm assuming you mean the kick during the actual main bassy parts, not elsewhere? I used two different kicks, one of which is meant not to have much punch. And yeah, I hear what you mean with the growl being too loud. I'll have to look into how exactly to make the sub "thicker". But ...

Re: *Deep* Bloodlines - wip
One thing I've found helpful when getting sub-basslines to fit is to bring them up like 3 octaves so its in the midrange; it makes the tones clearer in my opinion and easier to work with.

Re: Mortal Kombat Theme (Irraik Remix)
I'd a bit of reverb on your snare, to give it a more full sound. Also, when it goes into half time, a few more open cymbals/hats/rides would help to fill up the mix.

As above, I would fix the bass issues, but regardless, solid tune. It's real chill imo and I enjoyed it completely.
