I think he meant the stuff starting at 0:28. Though I guess they are arpeggios rather than chords.masterchief wrote:what chords?Jeffoproductions1 wrote:Some creepy chords there, you don't hear them much these days. I like the wobble bass you got on this.

Re: Micah N - Vengeance (Original Mix) (Dubstep)
I like the intro a lot. I agree with the guy who said the wobble sounds out of sync. It sounds a little awkward at places like 0:33-0:34 where the lead synth doesn't seem to "match" up with the wobble's beat. Also maybe it would sound better if you lower the pitch of the wobble by an octav...

OSHIBKA - Ice (Chillout Dubstep)
I actually made this dubstep track about a month before I posted my first dubstep thread on here, but since I haven't shown it to many people, I want to put it on here. I used FL Studio 7 to make this track. It's technically a work in progress since I haven't yet put together an "ending" t...

Re: DJ 5ONE - Pass The Time [DUB/REGGAE VIBE]
Maybe it's just my personal taste, but I'm not a fan of that G-A-C chord that you keep using up until about 3:30. I would suggest using an A-C-E or C-E-A chord, and vary them up. But I like your use of white noise and I think you successfully captured the "chill-out" effect.

Re: Atela ft Silva Dan - Some Sort of Sound (deep/chilled)
Maybe add a lead synth/instrument to spice things up a little bit? It's a chill track but it's kind of redundant.

Haha, i know, it's such a huge cliche now to have the rain effect, gonna try something more complex next time. Also you're not the first to say the intro's a bit long, i don't know, i personally like the feeling it has, but i will have to put that into consideration. Cheers for the feedback, I'll t...

Re: [Ambient Dubstep] New Raven - Swanshore
Yay, another dubstep track with rain/weather effects! The intro's a bit long. I know it was meant to be atmospheric, but as I was listening, I was waiting for something more interesting to come in. When the percussion came in, I started liking the song better, though it's still repetitive toward the...

Re: Tympanista - Pregame (Harsh dubstep/drumstep[?], dnb)
I can't comment much on the levels since I'm new at that stuff too, but you have quite the dissonance going at around 2:14 with the minor bass contrasting with the happy-go-lucky major synth up top. I can't say it's good or bad because I don't know if it was your intended effect, but it's unusual at...

Re: Riotz & Leviathan - Cannibal (Riotstep)
It sure is heavy. Good work with the bass, though I prefer to have lighter parts to balance things out. The only thing that bothers me is that hi-hat that appears at 0:04, 0:10 and elsewhere in the song. It sounds like it's panned far to the left and it's annoying to listen to when there isn't some...

Re: Blaze - Tank! (Nearly as heavy as the Tank itself)
The bass/drums seem all right but I'm not a fan of the samples. They need to be made stronger, maybe either making them louder, boosting the bass, or adding reverb. But the way you have them now make them weak-sounding compared to the other stuff in the track.

Thanks for the advice. I've never heard of Rustie before, so I'll check that out if my music really does resemble his stuff! By drums, what do you mean specifically? The heavy stuff you hear in the very beginning are just one of the default hits that comes with FL Studio with some reverb added. As f...

Re: newcomers -> introduce yourself here
Hello everyone! I've been making electronic music in FL Studio for a while and have recently been getting interested in making dubstep. I've checked out a lot of tutorials on YouTube and I think that I've getting there, but I definitely need some help from the forum members on here. Looking forward ...

Re: Onyxcloud -Organ Donor- [experimental-dubstep]
Your track has too many loud sounds going on at once, it makes it hard to listen to. Try to do something about the parts with white noise and those hi-hats - maybe turn down the volume on them or pan them differently? Or maybe take them out altogether. The wobbles sound fine to me though, better th...

OSHIBKA - Slam
Here's my latest track. It's still a work in progress - I'm not sure if I want to leave things as they are, or if I want to expand and develop a whole new section of the song after this track. But before I move on, I want to know how what I have so far sounds. I made this track in FL Studio 7, using...

This is great! It reminds me a lot of Burial with the vocals and the rain effects.

Re: new wip got that swank to it
It seems all right for the most part, but I think you could do better with the kicks/hi-hats. Vary up the kicks a little bit and it will make the track seem less robotic, I think.
