Then do him a favour and enlighten him. I think everything he said was correct. This stuff here. It's mostly just his arrogant attitude coupled with what amounts to no better than a layman's view. There's a lot of mixed up shit on here that people must be crazy to believe. I mean I thought that eve...

I think most people will admit that brostep is really good in terms of technical production. So yeah, definitely learning trying to make it.

Re: Free MILES DAVIS Beats

Dude, this is glorious, been wanting to sample a couple of these legends for some time. Can't wait to get home and try these out. Are you sure they've fallen out of copyright though, isn't it like movies where the labels refresh it every now and then or are the rules different for music? Would love...

There's a lot of mixed up shit on here that people must be crazy to believe. I mean I thought that everybody knew that it was illeagal to sample anything from a track. It doesn't matter if its going out free or never even gonna get finished, its there. So for as for people saying words like 'fact' ...

Re: Next production challenge...suggestions for genre?

hip hop instrumental tune battle pretty much encompasses nearly all tempos, instrumentation, disco, boom bap, drumstep, dubstep, grime, 808/trap, jazzy, ambient, funk, neurofunk, etc leaves out the trance and house fellows though. still, one of the more broad genres by way of sounds and tempos less...

Re: Next production challenge...suggestions for genre?

On a serious note though, I think these should revolve around creating new sounds and genres instead of saying "lets see who can make the best trance song". Making up a genre that's way the hell out there (baroque acid house at 140) will level the playing field for everyone and turn this ...

Re: Ableton live drums: Audio vs Midi

midi is nice because triggering and if the sampler can use data like velocity. audio is nice because you can edit the individual hits all over the track more easily. "this snare needs more punch" or whatever. instead of making a new track you just edit and paste

But if i add chorus or stereo widener it just sounds fake and awful! did you read the post I made there? If you want it to sound real it needs to be slightly panned that way to separate the left and right hands. Sorry I misread it... Its supposed to sound a bit off centre? yes, play the lower and t...
