I think that fragments has really good tips on this. Panning, volume automation, gluing with compression.. I also like to route the sounds to a bus and give them a little bit of saturation, and maybe a little bit of reverb to get the sense that they're in the same space. EQing might not always be ne...
Hello! I don't think that the track is boring. I kinda feel that the drop has too much things going on at the same time, and your drums could punch through a little better. The melody stucks in your head, which is good or bad, depending on whether you like it or not. I think it's fine, not boring :)...
pretty much the obvious, if you have few similiar instruments, pan them a little in the opposite sides and use the same kinda (if not the same) reverb on both. One tip is also using a really subtle slapback delay
Ok somehow I missed your update on this. I quite like the drums on exigent, and the whole vibe is cool. I loove Fault her. The melody is nice, the vibe is excellent and the breaky bizness is really good and fits amazingly. Both tracks are mixed pretty nicely imo. Good job once again!
Hello DSF! So in celebration of me recently getting 100 followers, and the year 2015, I decided to release a free samplepack. It's not really a dubstep-pack, but maybe you can find some of them useful.
Cheers!
Some EQs are more transparent than others, and some create really distinct sound. It's all about your taste, what you want in your sound. It might benefit from another EQs colorization, or you might wanna EQ out some frequencies, but don't want it to sound super obvious. Also like the other guys sai...
Sounds like a nice experimental piece to me I do think that some of the melodies are kinda out of place (again just my opinion ) and the sounddesign of the synths could be better. This is really fun to listen to and I'm sure you had fun making it
I'm gonna be honest... apart from the intro and the outro, the track is not that good :| The melodies and ideas are pretty nice, but your mixing is terrible. The whole track is drowned in reverb and frequencies are clashing all over the place. The drop lacks impact, subs are also not that present an...
The new track sounds really good! I love the bassline and the vibes are excellent as usual. Just as I was beginning to think that it lacks atmosphere, the glassy pluck sounds takeover and it's just what I was looking for =) Great job!
I like your use of the stereofield in this, and the garagey drums work very well. It could have a little bit more sub, but this could just be my preference. I like it, the melodies are great.
yeah i didnt think it seemed right thanks guys. I know what it does I just have trouble deciding when to use it. At the mo I am just using it on drums and vocals (if there are any) got me some learning to do I think. Thanks :) This is the right way to do it, atleast in my opinion. :W: When you get ...
Compress the stuff that needs it, and don't compress the fuck out of everything unless that's what you want. Don't just compress because someone told you to. When I was learning about compression, people kept saying exactly what their telling you and that don't do it, if you don't know what it does,...
