How do you adjust pitch and tempo on sample loops?
I just bought Vengeance's Dubstep Essentials - 2500 samples - organizing in Kontakt and Battery now - something is baffling me. In Kontakt I am slicing up the looped phrase samples and it applies MIDI notes to every 1/8 or 1/4 (or whatever) note so you can articulate musically. However, if the sampl...

Re: Sidechain plugs and how to use
I use logic and the only times I use sidechaining would be for compression or gating. Sidechain plugs and how to use
I just read through some older threads and have decided to use MCompressor as a sidechain compressor for producing brostep. I also downloaded Molot (Russian) but the AU version's interface I don't like as much and doesn't seem as easy to use - I'll have to compare them both. I'm on a Mac using Digit...

Re: newcomers -> introduce yourself here
Now it's my turn to introduce myself - I too am from Colorado. I have been writing and producing music professionally for years and my girlfriend's son introduced me to dubstep a few months back and I was hooked. I particularly like brostep (which I hear lots of people don't like). I haven't produce...
