I work a 9-5 in the field of public health. My day job requires very logical and structured thinking...hardest thing is getting home and shifting my brain into creative-mode to work on a tune :\ so you work like distributing vaccines and stuff? vital work, well done you. That is actually a big part...

Re: Getting out of that dubstep mentality.
Breaking any workflow involves stepping out of what feels comfortable. Sometimes that actually means simplifying your production a little bit depending on the genre. I have this problem when I try to produce more mainstream style pop or hip hop...I keep over complicating the bass and percussion elem...

2009...What resurrected this thread? lol I agree with the idea that loops/sample packs/etc are fine. I think as long as you make them your own in at least some way, whether it be processing or rearrangment then you are not being truly lazy...you are just doing intelligent selection of elements in yo...

I guess I will play around with different curve shapes on there and see if I can get anything that doesn't sound like a toddler ha...

Good MIDI Keyboard for Kontakt?
I am not sure what MIDI keyboard to buy that is confirmed to work properly with Kontakt as I use it a lot in my productions. Any advice would be really helpful from anyone that has a keyboard (49+ keys) they like and use with kontakt without issues. Thanks! Why: I recently bought the M-Audio Keystat...

Whenever I hang with other producers we just talk about whatever and the convo always leads to music at some point and then production. No need to force it or have a pre-existing list of inquires lol!!

Don't think its really a joke but rather a generic answer to a number of generic questions...similar to "try resampling"
