Re: The Reese Bass Thread
Alright, so I'm trying to nail down those halfway between growl bass, but mostly reese basses. Like what Kill The Noise and feed me do, not like the Zomboy/mustdie/massive digigrain/AI shit which is done to death. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9f0h7e97fRk The reese comes in at 0:56, and then contin...

Re: Sub bass level

I have a pair of Rokits that I like to produce on, at least when it comes to arranging and general sound design, I wouldn'...

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread
https://soundcloud.com/sn0wday/hollow-growl/s-jnDJI Made this tonight. Soundcoud totally ruined the high-end on it, but whatever. Was going for a pegboardnerds kinda growl. Any tips on making it better? I like the hollowness of it, which gives it a nice hard texture, but I want it a little more wet...

Creating this chord synth, I can never get good ones...
I pretty much only use massive as my synth, and I can get just about any sound I want out of it, but I can never good get sounds that you'd use in an intro or a breakdown, like chords and non-bassy leads. Everytime I go to try to create some sort of lead for a beginning of a tune, it always ends up ...

Re: Headroom on a pre master.
On this topic, couldn't you potentially mix at any volume, then adjust the master to what the engineer wants?
Like, mix out at -1 db peak, then drop master 5 or 6 db?

Re: EQ in Massive / Bass & Kick Mixdown
Eh, as far as i'm concerned, fuck massive's EQ or anything that isn't a nice 8 band graphic EQ.
Although I wish I could massive reverb as a send... it sounds really good.

Re: CDJ 1000 MK3 QUESTION
I really hope you know that the CDJ 1000 mk3 does NOT have a USB port.
Just i've been researchign CDJs since I'm buying a pair int he next week, and I almost wnet with the 1000's until someone told me that they do not have a usb port and you have you have to use CDs (a pain IMO)
