Re: Switching from Fruity Loops to Ableton

FL is great, I'm an ableton user, but switching DAWs isn't gonna make you any more creative... I agree and he will have to learn and get experienced with things he already have lots of experencience and do quick in FL, it takes a lot of time. That's the exact reason i stick with Ableton, at this po...

As usual there is nothing for Mac. You can use a virtual machine to emulate the PC and run the app on Mac.

Re: Irritating shit on facebook

Everything about facebook is annoying. It gives you a in-your-face graphical representation of human and society and it's no good.
Also it is not really a social network, it tends to disconnect people and at the end all you have is the person in your contact list.

Re: mortal kombat samples and more

For arcade ROMs you just use this http://rapidshare.com/files/54662246/FoxM1.rar
It will list all sounds in the rom and you can play or save them to wav.

Other platforms will have different tools.

Re: Who to watch out for in 2013?

I think predictions of what style will be big are not appropriate. The people don't look for any particular style or a change, they look for a music they like. Once an individual releases a great song that is well receives by a large number of people the style of that song turns popular. On the oth...

Re: mortal kombat samples and more

There are tools to extract the files out of the game roms/data files, including the sound ones..Just get the rom or the data files of the games you want and try google or a game emulator or game mod community to find the tool you need.

Re: Switching from Fruity Loops to Ableton

My tip is to forget about the session view. Never been FL user but when starting with Ableton i had some knowledge in typical DAWs that does not have anything similar to the session view. It looked great on paper and i was really excited about that but after some learning and practice i realized it ...

Re: d s i profit08 for a totaly blind person?

The virtual analog Nord Lead 2X is a cool synth and has no screen; I does not sound as great as those dsi analogs but on the other hand it is has more diverse sounds. I does have a screen, for loading/saving patches, setting up midi channels and more settings. It is just a 3 digitis old school digi...

Re: d s i profit08 for a totaly blind person?

That synth is fine. For that one and any other you just have to check what is done in the lcd screen, if you can handle that. An totally analog device or virtual analog with no lcd screen you surely would have no problems as it is all physical buttons, knobs and sliders.

Not really, you can design kick drum in a VA synth, most already have presets for that. As someone suggested before there are "laser" tutorials for massive on youtube with a different approach. Take a look at it too.
